I have been behind since I went on retreat a month ago and am off next week to another.<br /><br />Funny you mention handwriting, a baby announcement for my second child was returned to me this week - baby is 35 - as receipent has just a few months to live..... and I showed it to baby 35 and her comment was: your hand writing is just the same. Interesting that she would know as it seems to me the only writing I do these days is to sign my name to checks...... well..... I think we are all so stunned that there is little wonder our thoughts are disjointed. I have never kept a journal, but I do write hand-written letters, and I also send cards.<br /><br />I enjoy laundry, too. Such a comfort, really. I used to exchange letters with my sister about once a week and now we email every day. Now I only write thank you notes. I love reading the few old letters I have written by my father and mother to each other and from my father to my grandmother during the war. One that my mother wrote still has a lipstick impression on the back of the envelope.
