Good morning Mary! I don't think we're at the violet stage yet, but I'm going to go check. The poor lilacs must be getting very confused with all the late snow. I wonder if they'll bloom in May.

Hi Mary I see that also with you desired spring arrived finally, and already the "Veilchen-flower"... I had to read after very much, because I return straight of one sun holliday, before I draw into my small red house, into Sweden. I have pictures of my journey straight posting... sun, sand and beach, and beautiful flowers... Take care Barbara
Okay Mary, I've got it all figured out now...you are actually a professional photographer in hiding aren't you? My goodness, your shots are just beautiful!
I've been sitting here sipping my early Sunday morning coffee sweetie, and studying this picture. There's just something about it that I really like in it's simplicity. You just seem to have an eye for things Mary, both in photography and decorating, that I really love. Hope you're having a wonderfully relaxing weekend! Amanda (aka Cottage Contessa)
Well, I am a 51 year old homemaker myself. Grown daughters and a grandson. Wife of a doctor. And I don't know what fifty-something you are. (Read your bio) But you look better than I do! I must have been out in the garden far too much. And I hate sunscreen! Glad to have found you. Brenda
Beautiful photo...I'm still waiting for the violets in my own lawn to show forth their pretty violet faces...so far it's just the lawnmower-trimmed leaves that I see out there. Your blog is quite enjoyable; I come visiting from time to time.
Oh I love violets scattered amongst the lawn! I have dug some up and put them in my flower beds so I would'nt haver to cut them down with the mower! They are such sweet lil presents!
Violets are one of my favorite flowers! They always come out here around my dear eldest daughters birthday, just days before really, and it is tradition to decorate her birthday cake with them. The extended family has gotten used to this eccentricity and simply pick them off:>) They grew in purple, white and yellow masses in my dear grandmothers farmstead lawn.
What a beautiful little violet. My friend has just finished an embroidery of the Violet Flower Fairy and this violet must be her special home. Warm wishes, Eleanor at Thatchwick
Perfect Saturday morning! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shot. Happy Saturday to you too. Mom has violets in her yard. I should go steal some. I'd love some in my yard...
