I'm finally beginning to get a little holiday spirit, and I decided to decorate the dining room for Christmas. With a little inspiration from Cindy, at My Romantic Home, I wired up some teacups and hung them on the tree.
I'll probably add some ribbon today, but I'm liking how it looks so far. :)
Perfect for the dining room Mary. Cindy had such a great idea when she did that. I just love your dining room:>)
ReplyDeleteMorning Mary, Could it get any sweeter than this? Ribbons would be perfect! Wish I had a diningroom tree...Have a great day decorating!! xo
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a Christimas Tree decorated with cups, but that's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more of your Christmas decorations.
Have a great day.

Mary, this has your usual style and flair. I have a container of old demitasse cups, I can't wait to try this idea. Since I'm trying to do a "Cajun" Christmas, the little cups and enamelware coffeepot should work. Thanks for the inspiriation, LOVE your little red house....
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea! It looks great.
ReplyDeleteyep.....I saw Cindy's tree, too...perfect!!..can't wait to see the rest of your lovely home!!..thanks for sharing...Lacy
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely gorgeous! I would be making mosaics shortly after putting that up (our 5 cats would be shattering those cups at an alarming rate)!!
ReplyDeleteOh I saw that and you're right! It looks just fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have a small tree in our dining room with miniature teacups and saucers, and I love it. You've inspired me to perhaps try a bigger tree with real cups! This looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Mary! It's so nice that you have room to display more then one tree. I wish I did, but we so "cozy" here, not much room for even one tree, lol!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
How pretty! It's a great idea for a dining room.
ReplyDeleteOH how awesome is this!!!!!! I love it!!!!!! So inspiring! Your whole house is, looks like you got into the Christmas decoarting mood! I loved all the photos so far!!!!! Wonderful place to celebrate Christmas!

The colonial house put me in a decorating mood too. I've been trying to get it all done for days. Hopefully I'll be done before I have to take it down LOL

ReplyDeleteLovely. I've been doing a teacup tree in my dining room for years and it's everyone's favorite. I add some faux fruit to the branches and walnuts that have been spray painted gold.

I hope you're keeping warm in New Jersey, we are having 70+ temps here this week! We'll be at the lake on Sat. for Christmas with all the family so I hope it stays warm enough for the kids to play outside....if not, we'll be toasty warm next to the fire!
Merry Christmas!
