Yes, all the winter white has been getting to me. So I made a mosaic of really colorful tulips that my husband gave me for my birthday last week. (Actually, there's one daffodil in there, too, but who's keeping track?) I think tulips have got to be one of my favorite flowers, even though we can't grow them at our Little Red House, because they always end up being very expensive deer food. I should probably try to grow some in pots on the deck, which seems to work for lilies, another deer favorite. Maybe next year. :)
Very lovely. A nice bright start to my morning. I'm sure the deer will get the tulips in our backyard again this year too. They seem to leave the ones in the front yard alone though, so at least I have those.
ReplyDeleteWow, Mary! Your collage is exquisite. Thank you for starting my day with such a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteMmmm - tulips are one of my favorites - I don't grow them either for the same reasons, but I start buying them right about this time of year to have some Spring indoors. Love all the warm color tones going on in this mosaic!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely! I think that would make a great postcard or notecard to send to someone!
ReplyDeleteSigh. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMary, Beautiful pictures!! I just hope that daffodil isn't in with the tulips..they secrete something that prevents the other flowers ability to take up water...
ReplyDeleteOh wow what glorious colors! Thank you for the reminder of what lies beneath the snow.
ReplyDeleteis that a sunrise? i'm going to think it is. i love that photo! and the flowers are lovely, too. don't you hate bulbs becoming fodder? atleast you have deer, i don't know what eats my bulbs. soo disappointing. hip hip hooray for store flowers!jkj
ReplyDeletegorgeous collage and you're right, the tulips are so sunrise/sunset colors. Makes me want to grab a spoon and dig in to the sherbert.
ReplyDeleteYummy! - these are just luscious all together!
ReplyDeleteNow THATS the ticket !!!

Lovely tulips, fantastic colours and excellent post, indeed! It is also a great way to save such a beautiful birthday gift.
ReplyDeleteI love tulips to. I have the same problem with the deer! When we first moved to our farm we planted 150 tulips and not a one came up! Great snacky for the deer!

Absolutely gorgeous! How beautiful all the colors look with the "sunrise?sunset picture. Although I love Fall and Winter the best... I must admitt it does make me look forward to Spring now. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYES! All that I hoped for ..and more! Your photography never fails to touch my soul. Thank you, Mary.

Love the tulips! I am especially envious as the deer just ate all of my pansies and cabbage over the weekend! Stop by hill country house - I received a sweet award and passed it along to you. Kind of like a chain letter - a little laborious, so do with it what you wish!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips (and the mosaic) and lovely. Thank you for the splash of color on a winter's day!
ReplyDeleteThose do look lovely right now!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see them popping up out of the ground.
Thanks for the dose of warm color!

The winter is getting to me, too, so I've been doing some photo collages, reminding myself that the flowers really WILL be back, and soon. I love your tulip photos, gorgeous! What kind of camera do you have?
ReplyDeleteI've posted some pretty pink for you today Mary.

I love how you placed the tulip photos so that the flowers pick up the hues of the sunset! Such brilliance and color in God's creation that one never tires of the glory He displays!
