You do this, right? Start to change out the dishes on your dining room hutch cabinet, and then get caught up with some other task... and pile the dishes on the dining room table, where they sit for the next week... you do this, right?
Please tell me I'm not the only messy one here.
But what is really pathetic (don't tell anyone!) is that I'll probably dust around the dishes at least once before I get my rear in gear and put them away.
*Sigh*

Are you ready for another Mosaic Monday? Gosh, I am so not ready, and really late visiting you all! So if you don't mind, I may have to peek and run today. :)
Mr. Linky will be up by 8:30pm Eastern time Sunday night. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your beautiful mosaics with all of us!
No, you're not the only one. I think I'll write this note and then go into the dining room and put away the dishes I took out before we went to Vegas last week!
ReplyDeleteYou are not the only one, my friend. I'm in the 'throes' of doing the same thing - except on a HUGE scale. Getting rooms ready to tear apart for new carpet that will arrive in a little over a week. And, first, a guest this weekend. I got up early to try to start putting things to right before the day gets away from me. I love the things in you 'mess' photo! You know what I think we should do? I think we should take turns visiting the homes of our blog friends and help with the rearranging and mess. And have a good chat - and a bit of fun - in the process!

ReplyDeleteI just read a quote that said something like: A perfect house is a life misspent. It's the truth!
XO,

Oh my, looks just like my table when I am trying to change things. However, the kitchen counters look like that too. lol Such pretty things to look at though. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWell, I JUST yesterday unpacked my last bag from our beach trip- that was in July! So no, you are not the only one and you're certainly not the worst either. I hope my little confession makes you feel better! =0)
ReplyDeleteNope your not the only one! At least you have a good size table! LOL
ReplyDeleteYour chocolate pot (?) is very pretty. It seems my table is nearly always covered up with something collecting dust! :-D Right now it is covered up with containers of beads/chain/half finished necklaces, etc.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
LOL yes, of course~
ReplyDeleteNope... I can't do that because I don't have enough dishes to do that... oh wait, maybe I should check my cabinets again to make sure... hee hee
ReplyDeleteDi
The dishes may still be out, but they are looking lovely!
ReplyDeleteIs that a Teapot? If I had a teapot that looked as beautiful as that, I'd drink a lot more tea!!
ReplyDeleteI do that too!!!! I have even been known to dust around a few of my own. Carla
ReplyDeleteOh law, I feel so much better...our table is a magnet for anything that comes thru our door.
ReplyDeleteIt's in a home that is lived in.
whew...

Oh yes, I do the same thing, sometimes dishes will sit on the dining room table for a month or more! I clean the same way, going from room to room and doing laundry in between . . . two of my three sisters are very focused homemakers! Marilyn cleans one room from top to bottom, and Colleen is lightning fast! My youngest sister, Margaret, will empty out a room then go shopping, and put it back together days later - now that drives me nuts! So, you are not alone! Have a happy Halloween!
ReplyDeletePretty tea pot, or is it a chocolate pot? I do the same thing, and with other stuff I move around too. I'm glad I'm not alone. ;)
ReplyDeleteDo that??? I live like that all the time..:)
ReplyDeleteOh and I love,love,love that teapot...wow!
Tina xo
LOL! I wish my messes were as lovely as your messes Mary! If my table looked like that, I'd never want to change a thing. : )
ReplyDeleteNo, never! Ha, ha. Yeah right.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do that too, but rather than dishes, for me it's more likely to be a picture-framing project stuck in limbo until I can finish it!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I come here, Eva Cassidy's haunting voice makes me sad! RIP Eva.
Hilarious! Have you been spying on me...am I on Candid Camera??!! ;}
ReplyDeletem ^..^
Welcome to my world.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness those kind of messes are so pretty. In fact, I like to enjoy a cup of coffee in my prettiest cup and saucer as I sit and admire (procrastinate) the beautiful mess. I always do this as I'm putting a particular pattern away for the season - - one last sweet moment before they are put out of sight for a while.
