This has been a crazy week for me. My daughter has been painting her room, which entails spreading it's contents all over the house. Our master bedroom air conditioner blew a fuse, which required a visit from our friend Ken, the electrician. And I've had bronchitis. Woot-woot!
So, I tried to think of a quick and easy mosaic this week, and came up with some of my Instagram photos. For those of you who don't know, Instagram is a photo-sharing app for your smart phone and mobile devices. It is also a fun community of people from all over the world who love photography. If you are already using Instagram, please look me up -- I'm mrcphotography. Leave a comment on one of my photos there -- I'd love to hear from you!
All these photos were taken at two different parks near my home. My husband and I walk every morning before work, and I love to snap some quick pictures when the sun is low in the sky. I also love to take pictures of the small rivers and streams that traverse our part of New Jersey. They are getting rather low right now, and we desperately need some rain. Maybe tonight. Hopefully. :)
And hopefully I'll be back next week, without the bronchitis and ready to party! :)

Mary, lovely photos from your walk. I love the streams. I do not have the Iphone, I was hoping one day to buy the Ipad though. Thanks for hosting and I hope you have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteNice photos of nature, Mary. I'm not on Instagram, but am aware it is quite the rage. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your bronchitis passes quickly.

I haven't done the instagrams but it looks like fun! You got some great photos of where you live! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteHello Mary
ReplyDeleteThe best time of day for photos, isn't it? Hope you're feeling better soon. I'm going to check out Instagram.
Judith
Hope you start to feel better Mary.
ReplyDeleteHope the A.C. is working and your bronchitis goes away soon, Mary! Beautiful instagrams...
ReplyDeleteFor me these apps etc. are slow going...baby steps!
I hope you soon recover, Mary. Summer illnesses are never much fun. I'm not a fan of Instagram, but it sure seems popular! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteMary, I just got over bronchitis...there is a particularly strong strain going through New Jersey. My husband and daughter had it too. The cough tends to linger. I hope you are feeling better very soon.
ReplyDelete♥, Susan
I hope you feel better and have plenty of rest!
ReplyDeleteI had Instagram on my phone, but I don't really like it that much or maybe I haven't gotten a hold of it yet :-(
Oh that's not nice having brohchitis and I do hope you will be feeling well soon. I'm not in Instagram so can't follow you. I love the early morning light in your photos. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHope youa re feeling better fast! Love the mosaic photos. Thanks for sharing.

No, not on Instagram, but I must same my "small" camera goes with me every where these days. You never know when you might catch "that" shot! Good on you for walking every morning - it is always in my plans but I never get to it - I know I should! I hope you get over your bronchitis soon - perhaps you need some of my winter soup! Thankyou again for the wonderful photo sharing through Mosaic Monday - I always look forward to it.
ReplyDeleteNo instagram option for me, unfortunately. I would love to have that but finances don't allow for it. I have so many friends who have the smart phones and work wonderously with sharing beautiful photos from them. These are beautiful, Mary!
ReplyDeleteWe're just home from a movie and a little grocery shopping. It's raining here so perhaps you're getting some, too. If I could have my way, it would rain every night for a few hours. Wouldn't that be perfect?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that the house is discombobulated and that you are under the weather to boot. It would not have been fun to be without AC these past weeks that's for sure.
Take care now...
No, I don't do Instagram, though I have, at least, heard of it. I have such trouble with early morning shots. Yours are wonderful.
Already following you - your photos are sublime!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! You always offer such comforting pictures. Thank you!! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to read that you've been ill. Not fair in the summertime! I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, Mary, I AM on Instagram and have become quite addicted to it! I find myself looking for reasons to take pictures with my phone.
ReplyDeleteLove all of yours here. I'll have to go find you now on IG!
Very pretty photos from your early a.m. walks! I hope you feel better very soon. I appreciate you hosting Mosaic Monday
ReplyDeleteI love Instagram...but always forget to use it. Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting Mosaic Monday. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
I haven't gotten around to joining Instagram as yet, but will soon, Mary!
ReplyDeleteMary, I am so sorry that you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. Your photos are gorgeous, I think you really have a beautiful way with Instagrams. Yours are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Yes I have heard of it but don't have a sophisticated phone, just a generic one that serves my purposes. Your photos are great.
ReplyDeleteQMM
Feel better soon Mary! As always, thanks for doing this, especially when you're not feeling so hot right now. Instagram is a neat app. I'm due for a phone upgrade, so a smart phone is on my near horizon, yay!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and scenic.
ReplyDeleteYour mosaics are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Markus
Downloaded Instagram but have not used it yet, your picture will inspire me to start using it! Thanks for hosting again this week and hope you are feeling better, Laura
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, another party. THX for hosting. Lovely park pics. SO healthy for you to walk :)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of Instagram, but have not used it. When my cat ate the cord that transfers my images from camera to computer, I got this nifty little device that loads the images instantly without use of a cord. My phone camera does not work, so I am not sure if this program is a go for me just yet, Your images captured a lovely day~
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! Wonderful place to walk...beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI've been resisting Instagram - no time for another addiction. Your photos are lovely. Please take care of yourself and feel better.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!!!! Lovely shots -- as usual! :D :D
ReplyDeleteI love your mosaics! I wish I had a ride to work that had lots of nature on the way. What beautiful sights!! I do hope you feel better soon. AND I really hope you get rain, too. We have had rain for the past 5 days. Enough to where we can't mow the yard and now there are some lovely mushrooms in the yard. Another photo op!
ReplyDeleteLove you, Mary.
Get better.
Brenda
I love how you place these photos....hopefully I can learn how to do it!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. They are so peaceful. I do not use Instagram, but it sounds interesting. I will check it out.
ReplyDeleteYael from Home Garden Diggers.
love your photos Mary..
ReplyDeletehowever.. I am not wild about Instagram photos..
perhaps when I have a smart phone I might give it a try!
hugs..
Loui♥
I have no idea about Instagram other than everyone else seems crazy about it. I don't think I need anything else to go crazy over. :-) Your pictures are wonderful though.
ReplyDeleteHa! I have to agree with edenhills comment! One more thing would put me over the edge and then you could just plant me with my computer and my camera! Get well soon dear!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, I especially like the second set, very peaceful looking! :)
Hope you feel better very soon, Mary! Isn't it so strange to have a cold in the summer time? And, when it rains, it pours.... you have a lot going on in your household - wow! =/ but, it sounds like everything is moving along alright. We can relate - there's a lot going on, here, too, and we need rain - we.need.rain!!!
ReplyDeleteDo take care, please! =]
It sounds like instagram is a way to just cut loose and be fancy free - fun and creative! =]
xxo
