Mosaic Monday: Moss and Flowers

The advent of spring is always a happy time for me, but this year, after such a horrible winter, it has been nothing short of pure joy.  I have watched with fervent gratitude as every green shoot, every bud and every flower has appeared.  And, of course, I decided to make up a few still life creations.  I was inspired by my dear friend Katy Noelle to include some moss in these photos, along with spring flowers from the garden.  Happy Spring!

Here are the instructions to join today's post:
1. Publish your Mosaic Monday post. The post may be about any subject you wish. The only stipulation is that it include a collage, or mosaic of photos.
2. Once it is published, click on the title of the post. This will lead you to the static link for your post. The static link is the page with only that post on it. Copy the url from your browser at the top of the page.
3. Paste the url into the appropriate inlinkz box in this post.
4. Type your name in the appropriate inlinkz box in this post.
5. Click on "Enter."
6. Please link back to this Mosaic Monday post so that your readers can find other wonderful mosaics.
That's all there is to it! It's always a good idea to then check and see if your link is working. If you have any questions, feel free to email me: mrcarroll(at)optonline.net

  9. I love moss, likely the association with fairies and your use of it in the collages is very pretty. The blocks with a plain texture are a neat idea, something I may try myself some time.
    Thank you for hosting Mary.

  10. Hello Mary
Your pretty plate with the butterfly and insects makes a lovely background for the delicate flowers.
The moss is is so much part of Spring growth and we are inclined to overlook its beauty.
The little blue flower is lovely with the moss.

I learn a little more about composition and light with every post you do - thank you Mary!

    Hugs

  14. What an artistic take on moss! I think mosses are under appreciated. They make anything look romantic. Also, you have quite a nice collection of contributors this week; beautiful colors everywhere.

The moss green complements the lovely butterflies and pretty flowers so freshly and beautifully! I think everyone is thrilled that spring has finally arrived. Mind you, here in southern Ontario it JUST debuted yesterday, with the first real warm and sunny day of the season!
