Weathering the Storm

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And when life gives you ice, take pictures. :)

We were actually very lucky here at our Little Red House -- we did get a lot of ice, but only lost power (and internet connections) for about four hours. And our cellar didn't flood. Yay!

And while shoveling ice and slush from the driveway was a really big job, taking pictures of the trees in their glittery garb was my reward.

As much as I long for spring, I have to say that the ice was beautiful.

I hope that wherever you are, you weathered the storm. :)

  3. Beautiful photos, but ice can be so treacherous! I hope you didn't lose power. We got snow, about 12 inches, and I got another day off work! Yay!

  8. Although it may not be good for the trees and shrubs, I was hoping I would get some of this beautiful ice! All we got was sleety, slushy rain on top of our three feet of snow...These photos are truly amazing!!

  16. These are just beautiful, Mary!!!

We got over a foot of snow. I guess that it was our turn. I guess it's, also, my turn to have that flu that's going around. Cozy and warm inside under the quilts, indeed. Your photos of the sunny tulips were just what the doctor ordered. =]

    Be well!
