I've been having cable problems off and on for two days now, and have been frantically adding spring images to my etsy shop in between the down times. So... I'm sorry that this post is a little later than planned. :)
This tea set makes a yearly appearance on my blog every March. It belonged to my mother, and was not made in Ireland as you might think, but in Japan. It's got a very delicate glaze that makes it seem to glow when placed in the right light. I love to serve tea in it, along with some Irish Soda Bread. However, I've gone gluten-free, so I guess it's just tea this year. :)

DeleteWhat fun to glance at the thumbnails and see all that green. I was surprised to learn that your shamrock tea set is from Japan with its Irish theme. Fun! On a purely photographic note, I have been intrigued by the dark backgrounds and the subject in full color and brightness in the foreground. It is stunning.

Hi Katy, I've been gluten-free and sugar-free since January 1012, except for the occasional chicken francese and eggplant parmesan... Lost about 30 lbs. I feel much better without the cravings associated with bread and pasta. I did "fall off the wagon" at Christmas, and gained six pounds back. :(

Mary, Your tea set is lovely and your photo of it is absolutely gorgeous! I see you are gluten free! Just a quick mention--chatting with my doctor, she mentioned that much gluten-free prepackaged food is very high in added sugar, just as "lite" items often have added salt for flavoring. If you are doing all your own baking, of course this isn't an issue. Just something to watch out for. Thank you for the party. I'm looking forward to joining in future weeks too! Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I don't bother with any of the gluten-free packaged food. In fact, I am almost entirely free of any processed food whatsoever. Basically vegetables, fruits, nuts and meat... sometimes a little cheese or yogurt. :)
