Since it's been ungodly hot here in New Jersey these past few weeks, I've decided to take a look back at spring, with some images from nearby Willowwood Arboretum that I never got around to sharing with you. When I shot these, I was so happy that the weather was warming up, and some flowers were beginning to appear. Now, it's been in the 80's and 90's for two weeks straight, and I'm dreaming of sweaters... :)

Beautiful spring blossoms, Mary! It has been hot and humid lately. I would like to loose the humidity and I would be happy. Lovely photos and mosaics. Have a happy week, thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteIt has been hot here also Mary but this year it has been unusually wet too. The spring blooms look beautiful and crisp. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos, Mary! We only have a couple of hot days so far, and rain most of the time!
ReplyDeleteThese Spring images are gorgeous and so refreshing on this Summer day!
ReplyDeleteSpring was beautiful Mary. Hopefully summer will provide you with some gorgeous blooms too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting.
Judith
They are beautiful pictures, Mary. You are the best with the bokeh effect. Some day I'm going to try harder to be like you! I hear you. I'm totally miserable with the heat and humidity. Why is it that we get so few perfect days? Ha!
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about old wood and Spring flowers that makes a beautiful photo. We've had a beautiful Spring and Summer here in Florida! We expect some heat and have humidity year round. Enjoy your afternoon!
ReplyDeleteMary, you are dreaming of sweaters, and I am dreaming of sunshine. My pastor even kidded during his morning intro that it was beginning to feel like we lived in a rain forest, we have had so much rain. One thing good, no draught this year! Your images are fantastic and I really like the little red shed used in a couple of the photos. Happy week~
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that I finally taken some time and learned how to do a collage/mosaic on the computer! I am joining for the first, but definitely, not the last time. Looking forward to visiting the other party participants. Thanks for hosting. Your flowers are beautiful.

Oh lovely cool spring photos ....I almost feel cooled off :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes those 80's in temps can't be beat. Great images, looks like a wonderful place to visit.
ReplyDeleteWe have had non stop rain this weekend so our 90's have been damped and what a relief.
Stay cool and thanks for hosting the party.
Kathy
Love your spring image collages. I noticed that my collages don't have dividing lines in most of my pictures. I guess it was the black on black backgrounds that appealed when I was making them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, hope you have somewhere cool for relief from the heat.
Joy
Sure enjoyed your spring collages. I have been fortunate this past couple of weeks to work on my yard and gardens. A real pleasure. Thanks for hosting.

Those are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI like your mosaics with two photos. It was an inspiration for me. Last month I published a post about teacher´s gifts with mosaics with only two pictures. I´m following your blog a time ago.

gorgeous images, I went "oh!" when I opened your post - so beautiful. What is that flower in the first images, so beautiful. Amazing isn't it how we long for the summer, but when it gets here, we are not happy if it is too hot! Have a wonderful week and thankyou for hosting Mosaic MondaY again for us. A beautiful way to start the week.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your heat and humidity. I can empathize only because of my hot flashes which are my humidity these days! Beautiful flashback to Spring! Blessings...
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteTranquil, serene, refreshing. . .like a breath of Spring!
Elegantly photographed, dear friend!!!
Sending cool, calming thoughts your way!
Fondly,
Pat
So much Beauty Mary. I open your post also and loved what I saw. xo
ReplyDeleteI forgot how beautiful this MM was. Thanks. I want to add one. :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty images - very peaceful!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are of cool loveliness, Mary. I hope they helped you feel a little bit refreshed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the weather here has been in record high temperatures, best to sty indoors and reflect about Spring. Your photographs are gorgeous as ever. I went to a nursery today and went home without any flowers for the garden. Every plant and flower looked as parched as I was. Have a lovely week Mary.

Thanks so much for hosting one of my favorite parties.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteThat first picture of the exterior is just perfect; lovely textures and hues! Thanks so much for hosting! Have a great week!

I have to say our weather here in Colorado has been very nice so far this summer. It may get to 90 now and then, but the humidity is so low it doesn't feel so hot. Loved your delicate mosaics!
ReplyDeleteThe green woods of spring look so cool! We don't have the hot weather here that you have in the east, but we're into our hot and dry season now, nonetheless. Pretty mosaics!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous photos of the springtime flowers. So beautiful !
ReplyDeletebest regards, Synnöve
So very pretty. It hasn't been too bad here, of course it is all relative. We have only had one day in the triple digits. This week we will stay in the nineties. Last year we stayed above 100 for several weeks. As I said, it is all relative. Stay cool and safe.
ReplyDeleteThe look of Spring is very refreshing! We're having hot weather here but the worst part is the high humidity. Since we in Minnesota wait all winter for this weather I still try to enjoy a bit of it every day. Thanks for the refreshing mosaic!
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting, love joining in each week. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteDenise
Your floral photos are just outstanding.
ReplyDeleteSorry it's been so hot- here too and soooooo much RAIN!
I love rain but even I am sick of it - have a small lake on the side of our house, getting me a little worried lately.
Have a wonderful week - thanks for hosting!
Hot here, too! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are absolutely stunning.
