Mosaic Monday: End of Summer

After a tumultuous summer, weather-wise, it's beginning to feel just the tiniest bit like fall.  We've had high temperatures and monsoons (or at least lots of rain).  But now, the mornings are cool.  Soon, my beloved mist will appear as we go out for our morning walks.  And the fields will be a riot of yellow goldenrod.   It's beginning already.  I love the change of seasons!  :)

Please note:  I will not be able to host Mosaic Monday for the next two weeks.  We will resume on Monday, September 9th.  Enjoy the end of summer!  xoxo

Here are the instructions to join today's post:
1. Publish your Mosaic Monday post. The post may be about any subject you wish. The only stipulation is that it include a collage, or mosaic of photos.
2. Once it is published, click on the title of the post. This will lead you to the static link for your post. The static link is the page with only that post on it. Copy the url from your browser at the top of the page.
3. Paste the url into the appropriate inlinkz box in this post.
4. Type your name in the appropriate inlinkz box in this post.
5. Click on "Enter."
6. Please link back to this Mosaic Monday post so that your readers can find other wonderful mosaics.
That's all there is to it! It's always a good idea to then check and see if your link is working. If you have any questions, feel free to email me: mrcarroll(at)optonline.net

And a quick reminder: if you would like to join Mosaic Monday but don't know quite where to start, there is a tutorial on mosaic-making on my sidebar. Just scroll down, and click on the small blue mosaic.

  10. Indeed, enjoy the end of summer. The sun is getting up a little bit earlier here every day, and soon spring will be here. I am looking forward to the wildflowers.

  11. Hi Mary: I've wanted to join in here for a long, long time...but am just doing it now! But I don't have a complete blog post, only the image on Flikr. I hope that is ok. I'm taking an "August Break", only posting daily images on Instagram. What a nice break indeed! But let me know if the one image (part of my Photostream) on Flikr is ok to do. I look forward to joining you all more often when you get back.
    Thanks! Libby

  22. Mary, that image of the Queen Anne's Lace at the top of this post is AMAZING!!!!
Your photography skills simply blow me away.
But -- not ready to throw in the towel on summer yet.
I just discovered 2 pots of geraniums that I forgot to plant -- they were blooming happily away in a patch of weeds. Kind of a life lesson there, eh?
    Bloom where you are planted!
    Hahaha!
Have a lovely week! More morning pictures on FB please -- I try NEVER to see a morning from that early a viewpoint. :-)

  25. Oh, wow, Mary!! I just, now, remembered... this morning, about 6:30, I woke up and looked out the window and the fog was THICK with fog - I've never seen it so absolutely solid. Well, I shuffled off to the bathroom and just a few minutes later, when I was climbing back in bed, I looked out the window and it was only a misty sort of morning - just like that! (Quilt only somewhat alleviated since the color of the sky was charming and the outline of the trees on top of the hill so romantic! ;) ) And I thought of you.... =)

  28. Hmmmm... I couldn't remember if I had commented on the QAL and came to look and... indeed, I had but reading my comment.... ummm, I remember the morning but... the comment is approaching noncoherent! erp!! LOL! I remember that the MEADOW was thick with fog but, then, it dissipated just like that and I do remember climbing back under my quilt and peeking out from the covers - out the window - at the soft line of trees on top of the hill.... It was so beautiful but I have no idea what I was yammering on about, here! ;) Ah, well! It was probably a good thing that I went back to bed for a bit more sleep - obviously I needed it! ;)
