My Valentine

Yes, I know it's not Valentine's Day yet, but I just discovered how to add textures to my photos, and I'm having an enormous amount of fun playing with Photoshop.  This photo, alone, was nothing to write home about.  But with some texture and a quotation, I really like the way it turned out.  I think I will use it as a Valentine's Day card.  :)

  6. Brilliant! How long did it take you to learn this new skill? I think I could putter with Photoshop all day long for days on end and never learn a thing...I keep forgetting what I did know.

This will make a beautiful card or print. Framed it would be romantic. Just delightful...

  28. An easy way to learn pshop is to watch the "you suck at pshop" videos on youtube. they're a bit lewd, but he's got ton's of shortcuts that will make your life soooo easy!

also, there's a magazine that i find at costco called photoshop creative out of the UK, and it comes with a cd and tutorials. huge help.

  29. Congratulations on just learning how to use textures. I haven't yet learned but it's on my 2009 list of things to learn (what I do instead of resolutions). I use a pretty light hand when it comes to processing, or none at all but I would like to dabble and try it anyway. Your photo has turned into a perfect Valentine's Day card!
