Saturday Morning

It's Saturday morning, the kids are still asleep, my husband is at the office, and I'm sitting here dreaming up decorating projects for the winter. Like stripping the wallpaper in the kitchen and painting. Moving the hutch from the dining room into the kitchen and painting the island. Carving a laundry room out of the downstairs bathroom. Painting my dresser. Painting my aunt's old breakfront that sits in the garage right now, and putting it in the dining room...

If wishes were horses... :)

*********

I'm still making the rounds of all your posts from last week, but I hope you will join me for Mosaic Monday this week. Mr. Linky will be up by 8:30pm Sunday Eastern time, USA.

  6. Sounds like a long list. I am thinking of painting just one room and that has me on hold. I need to get myself in gear. Can't wait to see all your changes. Hugs, Marty

  7. I always have a list a mile long. Not such big projects mind you but they loom over me still.

  8. Mary, I did all that dreaming and planning last year and we are just finishing. In the kitchen the wallpaper is just about all off, the paint is waiting and the pine hutch will be painted a soft cream colour. Hubby has told me that there will be no more interior changes after this for a long time.
Guess I can always dream about outdoor projects over winter. :-)

  18. Oh Mary -- I couldn't fall asleep last night, thinking of all I want to do in the house. Oy!

If wishes were horses? Or, as my high school English teacher used to say, "If my grandmother had had wheels, she would have been a trolley car."

Let's see how well we do with our lists ... we've been here just over 2 years and I am not done yet with some things, and want to change others.

We've got friends coming on Saturday for dinner; they've never seen the house, and I wrote down a huge list of things I want to accomplish before they come. Husband looked at it, said "On what planet?"

Isn't this weather amazing? I'd settle for this year round!
