Garnering

"Autumn asks that we prepare for the future—that we be wise in the ways of garnering and keeping. But it also asks that we learn to let go—to acknowledge the beauty of sparseness. "
--Bonaro W. Overstreet

  2. Hello Mary,
Beautiful photo's and quote...makes you think. I think one of the things I've garnered is ideas for taking better pictures. Not that I've used what I've learned all the time but I'm trying. Thank you for your inspiration.

  16. Mary, I enjoyed your photos at "Soft Light" and here, too. You are so inspiring. I'm sorry that I keep saying that but my thirsty heart receives it like cool, soothing water. That's just how it feels. I need to find some lovely soft light, too!=]

Now, I just bet that you don't realize *quite* what and how much you impart with your images.

    Love, Katy

  23. Oh, beautiful! And I see that hobnail milkglass vase getting its moment in the limelight, too.

Can you believe the rain today for the opening of the VNA sale? What a shame. I had thought we would not be able to get there, but maybe tomorrow, as one of our commitments has been canceled.

I got an amazing milk glass cake pedestal at GW on Tuesday evening -- $6. It's stunning, and I am a total lucky duck.

Also I linked to you in my post today -- it's my 2nd year blogging birthday. And you are partially to blame. :-)

    Yay -- rain is over!
