Thursday's Inspiration: Sky

"Even after all this time, the Sun never says to the Earth, 'You owe me.'  Look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky."
               Hafiz

Well, I managed to find some blue skies yesterday, along with the teensiest bit of help from Photoshop.   As for the quotation, it has always been a favorite of mine.  What can I say, I guess I'm a romantic at heart.  ;)

I can't wait to see what you've come up with for this prompt.  It's always fun to see what kind of weather your friends are having and besides, I'm waiting to see how many of you are more romantic or philosophical about their skies.  I'm sure all of you will be more well-spoken.  :)

I've been loving your interpretations of the word prompts so far.  It's so much fun to see all the different ways a single word can be celebrated.  Here are the word prompts for the remainder of April:

April 18:  blue
April 25:  tree

Next week I'll get thinking about May's prompts.  Any ideas?

  5. Mary, I love your sky photos, and that quote. Thanks for hosting this great party. I'm afraid I went overboard with my sky inspiration, and I don't know if I followed the rules, but skies are my weakness.

  8. I am glad blue skies returned there!

I am glad to participate this week, Mary. I am in love with the skies I see here in Colorado. They look so intense to me.

  10. Dear Mary
Sky is a weakness of mine - my little camera is pointed skyward almost every day!!!
My family think I must have every sky image available - they are so wrong!
Thank you again for hosting. Your blue sky photos are just what we have had over our wonderful long Summer in New Zealand!

  11. I love capturing all kinds of sky scenes...it is one of my favorite
things to take photographs of because it is ever changing with colors
and textures. Your blue sky is so inviting and so beautiful and your
quote is also one of my very favorites...it says a lot in just a very
few words...a true heart quote. Thank you for hosting Thursday's
    Inspiration...Sky .

  12. Hi Mary, I am always taking pictures of the sky; sunrise, sunset, fluffy clouds, storm clouds, blue, grey...love them all. There has only been grey here with rain and snow. Enjoy your evening. Jen

  13. As to ideas for future prompts...next weeks is blue. I wear blue jeans. I don't decorate anything in the house with blue. I thought that I'd have a problem finding blue anywhere!

First I went through the house and then through old pictures. I had so much fun! It was like a scavenger hunt.

I had blue all over the place in this, that, and the other picture. So while I am not sure how the others might feel, I think the color prompt is fun. ( Not for every week but perhaps for once a month or occasionally )
