Going Green

Don't you just LOVE green flowers? Well, maybe you don't. After all, everyone is different. But I adore green flowers! And I scored some green zinnias last week to put in the pots on my deck. In fact, now that I think of it, I posted a picture of the same green zinnias last Saturday. lol

And if I ever find my gardening bag, with the trowels in it, I'll actually plant them. lol Although at this point I'm thinking I'll just have to break down and buy a new trowel. :(

Won't you please join me for Mosaic Monday? Mr. Linky will be up by 8:30 pm Eastern time, USA Sunday. I can't wait to see your mosaics! :)

  2. Hi Mary
I love green flowers. My daughter used Yoko Ono mums in her wedding. Those are the tiny lime green button mums. T had two flower girls. They carried floral balls with ribbon streamers. The balls were made with the lime green mums. We had no idea of their name, until we were planning the flowers.

I've already published a mosaic for Monday. I'll be back tomorrow evening to link.

I like your zinnia. I haven't planted them in years. I should though. I had them at the farm. Love them in bouquets.

    Congratulations to your daughter!

  6. Mary,

I love the green and I love Zinnias. I have planted some but have no idea what the colors will be - the tag says mixed. I wish some of these growers would isolate some colors for those of us who want green or white or pink or whatever.

  8. Hello Mary! You know..I don't know if I've ever seen a green flower before...in magazines and now on here I have but I don't ever remember seeing one in real life. I'll have to make that a goal! Have fun planting your new flowers and have a wonderful weekend. Maura :)

  9. Lucky duck! I love those green zinnias but I haven't seen any for sale anywhere and I am WAY too lazy and impatient to stat them from seed, (not to mention, it's a little too late!) Maybe next year. Yes, I love green flowers:>)

  10. What a great shot Mary. Is there a texture on top?

  11. Have you tried Limelight Hydrangea? It opens green, fades to white/green and matures with dusty rose/pink blossoms. Absolutley lovely paniculata hydrangea.

  12. Maggie, No texture on top, but I think I used one or two vintage PS actions, which may have had some sort of haze in it...

  13. Last week's photo was amazing. It matched my Friends Blog perfectly. For that reason alone, I loved it. ;> It is true that, until you started posting them, I would not have been an admirer of green flowers.

  14. What a pretty photo! I do like the green flowers also. My header has a picture I took of some green gladiolas last Summer (on the left, next to the yellow one). These were the first green ones I had seen.
