Just thought I'd give you a little taste of what the last few days have been like here in my part of New Jersey. Quiet, soft, peaceful. Reflective. (To get a better feeling, click on the picture to enlarge.)
I will have to come up with some better adjectives to describe how I feel when I see your photographs, Mary. Beautiful, peaceful and serene just aren't cutting it anymore. Another good one!
yes it has Mary, we're still getting rain today. It sure looks like Fall in NJ, but in just 2 short weeks I'll be putting the lights and garland on the front porch! Have a cup of tea by the fireplace, it's the perfect day for it! xo Sue
I am in aw of so many of your photo's. There are so few places like this in Southern California that I can't get enough! Thank you for posting so many beautiful things. I have even taken up collecting my milk glass again, dug out my old and added some new. You are inspiring!! Mona
Exquisite! Nothing like a gray November day to provide just the right contrast for the color that remains. Thank you for showing NJ in all its glory! I live and work in Sussex County. When most people think of NJ, they don't think of the natural environment we enjoy.
Mary, I'm not kidding you - that photo is stunning. Search out a photography club or perhaps a class at the local community college. You're going to bloom as a photographer.
Lovely picture Mary! Yes, it has been rather yucky, but you managed to capture the beauty of even dreary weather. Hubby took me up for a ride in Califon. Turns out one of his customers is the funeral home right around the corner from the church. He drives a limo in his semi-retirement. lol! What a gorgeous area, love the houses there too. We had such a nice afternoon!

I am a 50-something reluctant housewife (I'd rather be an international supermodel or a forest ranger or a jockey), mother of two great but sometimes annoying kids ages 25 and 21, and wife to a funny, hard-working attorney.
While I appreciate each and every one of the awards that you have given me since 2007, I have decided that Little Red House will no longer be accepting awards and tags. Thank you for your understanding. :)

ReplyDeleteWe've had the same look here lately. Drizzle, fog, rain.
ReplyDeleteThe tree on the right really makes the picture. Is it a park? I noticed a bench on the far left.
Beautiful view Mary. Thank you for sharing it with us : )

That is a meditation on serene.
ReplyDeleteSame weather here in Germany...not my favorite time of year and not my favorite weather but fog definitely have some peace to it.
ReplyDeleteSmiles, Anke ;)
So beautiful, I set it as my wallpaper, hope you don't mind?
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of favorites. Although my most favorite of all is the 'ornamental grasses' one from your other blog.
xoxo~

Mary, that is a fantastic pic! You really should frame that one. I can see a landscape oil done of that.
ReplyDeleteQuiet and gorgeous. ; )
