Boy, am I a doofus. I bought this print way back in the spring, and put it in the dining room closet till I got a chance to hang it.
Then I promptly forgot I had it. (Don't you love menopause?)
I found it the other day when I was looking for the vacuum cleaner bags. Duh! Yesterday, a few of you commented on the apparent lack of dust in my china cabinet. You can't possibly know how funny it is for me to get a reputation for keeping a spotless house. Trust me. After all, it would seem that I have not changed vacuum cleaner bags for months. So how clean could it possibly be?
Have a great weekend dear bloggers! Hopefully, I'll have some Christmas decorations to show you next week. :)
Great print! What will it end up?
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful. I swear Mary, you find the "bestest stuff". I know a few antique dealers that would love to have you as their picker.

That print is so beautiful! I can't believe you forgot about it. I would like to offer my services to come and, ahem, clean out your closets. No pay, just let me keep what I find;>)

What a great print! And, about menopause. It definitely has its pros and cons. I'm trying to stay focused on the pros. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat print. Who's the artist? I wouldn't mind having a copy of that print for my house, if you wouldn't mind.
ReplyDeleteI checked back - your hutch does look dust free! I'm envious. You should see mine!! That is a great print - where will it hang? Sally
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful print. Perhaps you can think of menopause as that delightful time of life where we hide things on ourselves and are delighted to find our own treasures. Does that work for you? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty print. Where are you going to display it?
ReplyDeleteLove the print, it's beautiful. And just so you know, you are not alone. I don't change my vacuum bags often enough either!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
*hugs*
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteGreat print. Yes, I love it when I put something somewhere and forget about it. Then, it is a surprise when I find it. lol! Ahhh, yes, the menopause thing. I bet we could have a ball with a group of women telling our menopause stories. the china cabinet looks beautiful.
Beautiful print....and as for menopause...great excuse to get out of getting into trouble....you can just say.."I don't remember a thing".....have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Mary! You find art like I find ten dollar bills in old coat pockets.
ReplyDeleteWell, sometimes I do.
Once, I think.
Don't you love a good find? And this one you got to find twice!! *g
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed lovely print. With those fruit arrangement it looks so attractive ...and a little bird is lovely too. When I enlarged the photo I noticed one more detail that I really love. It is morning glory flower, so beautiful and so charming always and everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Actually it is nice to find things that you have hidden from yourself. Being at the same stage of life that you mention this happens to me often. I only get irritated if it something needed in a timely fashion. Last year I put my Christmas cards away when I bought them but could never find them to get them addressed. I found them in the summer....
ReplyDeleteThis is my first visit to your blog (Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch) sent me. Your photography is beautiful. I've been going through some of your older posts, and I LOVE your little red house. I'll certainly be coming back for more. laurie
ReplyDeleteHard to believe you could forget a print like that Mary. I love it!

I just discovered your blog yesterday, and spent last evening and today reading all your posts. I can relate to you so much! but at the same time envy your writing and design skills!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about menopause! My friends and I say that we can now enjoy books and movies more than once. We watch or read further and further into the book/movie before we figure out that we've already watched/read it. So many things turn out to be a surprise! My friend Corinne said the other day, in all seriousness, "I heard that this gingko biloba was great for memory, but I keep forgetting to take it." Really, we laughed so hard . . . . Hope you'll stop by www.pilgrimssoul.blogspot.com to visit.
