Think Spring

We're getting snow here in New Jersey today. As I compose this on Friday night, the weather forecasters don't quite know how much to predict. But whatever the amount, I'll be staying snug at home, with blueberry waffles for breakfast and tulips nodding over the table. "Think spring" is my new mantra. :)

Happy Saturday, dear bloggers. If you are getting the nasty weather, stay warm and safe. If you are lucky enough to have some beautiful weather, enjoy!

Please join me for Mosaic Monday this week. We had some absolutely beautiful mosaics last week -- thank you all so much for making this such a fun party for me. :) Mr. Linky will be up by 8:30pm Eastern time Sunday.

  5. Beautiful tulips. I love tulips. Don't have any luck growing them though. All I get are stalks and no flowers. I am thinking spring even here in the south. We have had a cold wet winter this year. It is raining here right now. Our yard is turning into a swamp and is going to take a lot of work to bring it back. Good thing I love working in the yard. I hope someday soon I can do a mosaic Monday post. Don't know how to do that yet. Still a lot to learn.

  6. Here in Utah we are just having coldish weather not having any bundles of snow this year. I really was hoping to get a "snow" day where they send us home from work or school... no such luck!

Enjoy your snow-- as you know it really will be sping soon.

Your tulips and berries from the other day are stunning. (LOL i love that you too buy things to photograph!)

    Enjoy!!

  10. Your tulip photo is so beautiful Mary. Think positive and spring will be here before we know it, right?
Now, about your last post with the jam - yummy! You know the collections we all have? Well, jam pots is a small one of mine - have you considered collecting them too since you love jam?
I picked a crystal pot up last weekend at our local antique market. When I got to the counter to pay for it, the man pointed out a small chip in the lid opening for the spoon. I wasn't concerned, I think of it as character.
    See you for MM.

  11. It's up to our knees here unless you encounter a drift. I'm heading out soon just to be in it. My husband and George just came in from about their 5th time out there and have a path cleared for me to walk some. Snowing sideways now with big thick flakes. Take care!

  12. I also have a vase of tulips in my kitche. I just love their shape as they open up. I keep looking outside and the bulbs are poking their green stems through the wet soil.
    Soon be Spring
    Enjoy your weekend

  13. Well, Northern New Jersey can thank us later.
A few weeks ago we acquired a snowblower. So today, despite predictions, we have NO SNOW. Well, my husband insists we have a "coating," but he is wrong; what we have cannot even be dignified by the moniker of "dusting." It's a few random flakes, escapees from the Big Storm south of us.

    Yay. Think Spring!
