I was trying to think of a subject for my mosaic this week when I happened to drive past the pasture of a local riding stable. It was a beautiful day, and the horses were close to the fence. And I actually had my camera in the car.
Eureka!
At first, a few of the more curious horses came close to the fence to say hello. Or maybe just to see if I had brought any treats. But then a few of them started feeling frisky. They began to cavort in the sunshine.
Don't you love the word "cavort?"
Anyway, I got a few cute pictures, so I thought I'd share them with you today. Happy Monday!

My neighbor's horses have been "feeling their cheerios" as we like to say lately. He has a small herd of adopted mustangs and every evening they run around the lower field, it's pretty funny. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!
Mary, your post was beautiful. When I was younger I had 2 horses and a pony that I kept in what would have been called a driving shed. The village we lived in had Victorian houses, dirt roads and wells. One of our neighbors had Hackney ponies in his shed and every Sunday he would harness them to a little buggy and drive around the neighborhood. As you can see I have a fondness for horses. Hope you have a wonderful week and take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary

This is looking a lot like SPRING - great mosaic - love the GREEN grass! The 'guys' in the pasture are loving it too!
ReplyDeleteLove these shots - look like they're feelin' frisky! And by the way, I meant to respond to your post "my style?" I think your style is "Dreamy" - that covers the tack sharp and the beautifully soft. My two cents for what it's worth.
ReplyDeleteI was in our version of 'Cow Town' this week, but saw few horses. These are beautiful - do you think they knew they'd be famous!?

Mary,
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Mosaic Mondays, we at 3 sisters 365 love it. Horses are my favourite animal to look at. Unfortunately I don't like to ride so much because of the height (petrified of standing on a chair Ha Ha!). Great pictures.
