Just a quick post to say "hi," and apologize for not being here too much lately. My father-in-law has been back in the hospital this week, and I've been helping out with my mother-in-law who is also ill.
I hope you are all well and enjoying some nice summer weather (or winter weather for my friends down under). It's been really hot here -- 80's and 90's -- and is supposed to be even worse this weekend.
Anyway, here is a flower for you all. Queen Anne's Lace grows wild in our backyard, and I love to photograph it when it is just opening or when it's all curled up and going to seed. :)
Have a wonderful weekend! Hope to see you all for Mosaic Monday. :)
Wishing you all well. Take care of "You," too! Cathy
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're very busy. It's not easy to take care of those who are ill, Mary and a blessing for them to have someone like you in their life.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful photo.
Hi Mary!
ReplyDeleteI hope all will be well for you and your family...
I participate in a prayer group on Fridays especially and I will keep you and yours in my prayers.
I also have bunches of Queen Anne Lace (wild carrot) this year and chose to leave it mixed in with the regular garden flowers and it was a great choice!
Take care....

Lovely photo. I'm wishing I had some plants like that. Maybe I'll be looking for some seed.
ReplyDeleteMay God's peace make you strong for the care and love you are sharing with your family. ♥♫
What a beautiful photo. I love the Queen Anne's Lace and when I see it along the highway I just have to smile...I love that the Lord put such beauty in the ditches for us to enjoy! Praying for peace and rest for you as you serve others!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty picture Mary! I'm so sorry to learn about your Father-in-Law. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Beautiful photo! I will say a prayer for your in-laws!
ReplyDeleteDear Mary,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that your father-in-law is back in the hospital. I know how difficult that can be.
I too have been missing-in-action pretty much on the blog; I wish I could say it's because I'm having a spectacular summer, but I think it's just a slump!
I wish your husband's parents best wishes and send my hopes for the best possible outcome for their health issues.
All best wishes,
Cass
Mary, your father in law is in my thoughts and prayers, and your mom in law, too. Sending healing, supportive thoughts your way dear lady.

Buona serata.
Absolutely beautiful shot. Sending prayers to you and your in-laws....
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary. I'm saddened to hear about your father in-law, as well as mother in-law. I know just how stressful that can be. My heart goes out to you.
ReplyDeleteI might have to dig up some Queen Annes Lace and sneak it into my garden. My husbands reaction would be a hoot! Or maybe not . . .
Hi back Mary. It's very hard looking after our elderly parents/in-laws as they become more dependant on us.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the florists' version of QA lace? Ammi Snowflake seeds can be ordered from a seed company and are just as pretty. I first heard about this plant on Martha Stewart many moons ago. (self seeding annual)

Sounds like a very busy time for you and your husband. Take care...
