  3. What is your favorite Christmas song? Tie - "Mary Did You Know" or "O Holy Night"

What is your favorite Christmas movie? "A Christmas Story" I laugh every time.

Are you dreaming of a white Christmas? No way, no how - down south that would be being separated from loved ones as we cannot drive in the snow.

Do you have any special family traditions at Christmas? We go to church together on Christmas eve and then have a steak dinner together after church. Then all the nieces and nephews open presents from the aunts and uncles. This way they get to be with their families Christmas morning and no one is under pressure or rushing.

What is the best gift you ever gave anyone? $400 for a set of tires they needed badly. They asked for a loan and I gave them to her for Christmas. We both cried.

Here goes... I will answer the questions in the comments section, and I hope that you will, too!

1.What is your favorite Christmas song?
Probably I'll be home for Christmas -- it always makes me cry but it reminds me of my longing to be with family when I was younger and the fact that I long to have my own girls around me now that I'm older.

2.What is your favorite Christmas movie?
That's a tie between the 1954 version of A Christmas Carol with Allister Sim AND, of course, It's a Wonderful Life. I never miss them.

3.Are you dreaming of a white Christmas?
Yes I am; but with my still broken leg, I'd be content with a green one with white spots!

4.Do you have any special family traditions at Christmas?
Take-out Chinese food on Xmas eve ('cause Mom has a lot of cooking to do the next day).

5.What is the best gift you ever gave anyone?
When we were young (around 1984), I completely surprised my husband a new guitar on Xmas morning. He was overjoyed!
The best one I ever received was when my boss gave me a cordless drill with 2 rechargeable power packs.

Opening one gift the Christmast eve.

5.What is the best gift you ever gave anyone?
I think it will be this year. We thought we had shopping for our son finished then realized we should get him pots, pans, & kitchen stuff too, since he will be moving into his own home in the Spring. Kind of bittersweet, but Wow! He's a grown up.
    *off to find some kleenex.

5.What is the best gift you ever gave anyone?
I replaced a memory for my girls. I had given away their Glo-Friends (they had grown out of them)and years later they recounted how they had missed them. I found two identical on Ebay and watching them unwrap those two toys was magical.

Happy Holidays from Montana! Hugs, Kit

My Mom and Dad once wanted a depth finder for their boat. It was too much of a stretch financially for me at that time, so I went to the local boat company and begged an empty depth finder box. Into the box I put a ball of twine with a brick tied on the end, a pad of note paper and a pencil and a 50' measuring tape. On the top of the box I stenciled "DIY" just before the printed name of the depth finder. The look on my Dad's face when he opened it was hilarious.... He kept the box beside his chair with all of his "good stuff" until the day he died!
