Have you seen this yet? Just in case you haven't, I thought it would be fun to post it here. I can remember singing this in high school chorus, and by the end of the video I was singing along and really tearing up. :)
Please scroll down to the bottom of the page and shut off my music player before you start the video.
Wow! What a way to start the new day! Praising God!
ReplyDeleteWow Mary, I haven't seen that before and I have shared it with family and friends in UK and Australia!! I see there are some other flash mob ones on Youtube I have just come across "The Sound of Music" on Central Station Antwerp!!!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, have a great weekend, Jackie in Surrey, UK
That was great!
ReplyDeleteThis is GREAT!!! I would like to see something like this throughout the country. What a way to pick up a persons spirits during this depressing economy.
ReplyDeleteYes! Isn't it grand!?! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI was crying at the end. So beautiful. I think that's the first time I've seen a 'flash mob' kind of video with senior citizens. Just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine sent this to me and it is awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Mary! I had seen this a couple of weeks ago on the blog of a lady who lives in the town where it was done.
ReplyDeleteIt's Welland Ontario and the singer's are from a local church. What a wonderful thing to do for the holiday shoppers! It made me want to join a choir again!
Tina xo
Oh how beautiful! I too, have sung this for many years.
ReplyDeleteThanks you so much for posting it. I had not seen it until now.
I just keep thinking, we should be breaking out in song always for the "King of King and Lord of Lords". HALLELUJAH!
XO Yvonne
The Hallelujah Chorus brings me to tears, too. Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteI commented before I watched the video, but I LOVE the way the rest of the shoppers gradually come to their feet and join in. There is some kind of irresistible power in this song, I think. And tears really are streaming down my face. :) Thank you, Mary. Such a lovely way to start my day.
ReplyDeleteI first saw one of these videos from a Macy's in Philly. What a wonderful phenomenon to be sweeping the country. I hope all of you get "flashed" unexpectedly when out Christms shopping!
ReplyDeletePhew! I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who had tears streaming down by the end. I LOVE these! I'd seen my first one with the station in Antwerp and Sound of Music, a couple of months ago. They're just brilliant! This one is very special, though! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove, Katy
P.S. If everyone had stood up AS THEY SHOULD HAVE (ahem) one wouldn't have been able to see the singers. But, you could just see the joy on so many of the onlookers faces. There's nothing quite like a "mob" effort to do something that lifts the human spirit. What a gift!
I saw this on television this morning...don't you just love it!
ReplyDeleteTearing up here, too. That was incredible!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time that I've seen this. As I sat here, with tears in my eyes, I could see that people in the food court were also weeping.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I need more of this in my Christmas, and less shopping and decorating.
Wow! That was great! Amazing! :-)
ReplyDeleteI have not seen this one before but I have seen others. I just loved it and thank you for sharing. I like not only the song but the different ages of the people singing, it brought me to tears, Merry Christmas to you.
ReplyDeleteYes, and it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI had tears in my eyes too! What a WONDERFUL wonderful way to proclaim God! Oh, man, that made my day even more bright =)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Mary, I have tears rolling down my face now. That was so beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
