It's beginning to look a lot like...

So, the mantel is done (in the traditional manner) and the trees (all three) are up but not completely decorated yet. I'm not done shopping, and everywhere you walk, you trip over a plastic Christmas bin. My cards are printed but not mailed, and I'm in the middle of that pre-Christmas fog that descends every year...

But on the other hand, the house is snug and warm, there is Christmas music playing and I'm still dreaming of a white Christmas. :)

How are things at your house?

  4. You gave me a good laugh, my home is in the same state, one of the two trees is up and undecorated, there are bins all over the place, getting a batch ready for Salvation Army and we're having 5 guests for Christmas dinner . . . somehow it will get done! I've nixed the Christmas cards - I think!

  5. We have 7 inches of snow here on J.D.'s Mountain. As weather history repeats itself here year after year, our snow will be on the ground for weeks to come. I would say that our White Christmas is insured. I hope you get yours too just to top off the decorating that you did. BTW... Beautiful.

  6. You make me chuckle. Prechristmas fog - yes, that's what we're suffering from. I'm close to being done shopping. I have to go through it all this weekend to see what I forgot. I think I'm going to start decorating Nov. 1 next year, so I can enjoy it all. I feel like we get it up and then it's time to take it down.

  8. About the same except for the "cozy" part. Your home is far more cozy and I'd love to help you haul the bins back to their storage spot. Three trees? That's daunting!

  14. At our home, we have no tree so I will live vicariously through yours and the trees of others. I miss it so much but we're leaving the day after Christmas on a trip and my husband will not have an artificial tree in the house. Silly man. I think he has no idea how broken my heart is. Over a tree.

Our decor is done (At least all that is to be done this year!), shopping too. The cards went out last week. No baking yet but Grace and I will work on that this coming week as she is out of school.

  17. looking good, all warm and cosy and just about there. I was shopping this morning in -5. I can't beleive the snow we are having in the UK right now. We had quite alot of snow a couple of weeks ago, but today just freezing cold and hard frost. Scotland and the south have been quite hard hit this time around and most of the airports are closed.
    Happy weekend
