A Few More From San Francisco

It's been over a month since we went to San Francisco, and I'm still editing photos. :)

As you have probably guessed, I'm currently loving a vintage feel to my images. These shots of the Golden Gate Bridge were edited with a Florabella Photoshop action called Heiress.

Do many of you use Photoshop? I never know whether my little editing notes are helpful to you, or if they make no sense whatsoever. ;)

I've been feeling very scattered lately, between blogging and flickr and Facebook and Pinterest. Do you know what I mean? There are so many places on the web to keep up a presence -- I think I may need to pare down a little.

I have been spending more time with my portrait photography business, which I hope will keep growing over the next months. I've also got a 2012 garden calendar in the works, which you will see here soon.

And one of my favorite rummage sales is coming up in a few weeks. I keep telling myself that I don't need any more milk glass, but you know that will go by the wayside as soon as I get there... :)

So how is your September going so far? Last night was the first time I felt a little bit of fall in the air. How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

  1. If I took photos as well as you do I would keep showing them too, they're fabulous! I took pictures of the golden gate bridge when last out there and they don't look a thing like yours. Fall is rearing its head here in New England but the cool weather will only last two days for now...thankfully I'm not ready for the cold just yet.

  2. I'm just learning "Aperture", the photo shop for my new Apple desktop and am loving it. Keep those tips coming, those of us who are new to the whole photo editing thing can learn so much.
Autumn is definetly here in Southern Ontario - we had our first frost last night. I knew I should have harvested the herbs yesterday. Hopefully they will have survived and I can get out there today.

  3. Lovely shots. Makes me long to be there. I was there in February for the first time and loved it.
I know what you mean about all the different social media to keep up with.
I didn't even try Pinterest, gave up on Google + the first week. There is only so much of us to go around.
I love Fall. My favorite time of year.

  9. I love these photos - very moody and beautiful. It is definitely chilly here today - about 53 F and windy but the sun is shining. I just joined pinterest but haven't done anything with it yet. I need to figure out some stuff in it first. I expect it will occupy too much time too, as the blog does. Have a lovely weekend. Pamela

  10. I understand exactly how you are feeling scattered and strung out... I have pared down a lot over the summer but I still feel stretched between the two blogs, Flickr, Picture Inspiration, Instagram and the little time I spend on Pinterest and Facebook. Corners have to be cut somewhere! Right now I have been enjoying just getting the daily photo up on OXOXO and visiting favorite sites...like this one:)

  13. Hi again, Mary, Stunning photographs of San Francisco – I love the vintage feel. It suits these images so well.

And I do know what you mean about being scattered by all the online activities. I've purposely not signed up for Pinterest and not purposely abandoned Flickr. I applaud you working on your portrait business and am very excited to see what develops. And can't wait to see your calendar! Wishing you great success.
