Retail therapy is nice, and I have to say that I self-administer my fair share, but sometimes a girl just needs a cuppa. It's getting a little cool outside (finally), and I've had a very busy week, so here's my plan for the weekend -- tea and sympathy.
I just subscribed to this magazine, The English Home. It is filled with beautiful old (some really old, compared to the US) houses and antiques. Gorgeous!
This is the Christmas issue, which is a little premature, but it is absolutely lovely.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
So comfy cozy.....I hope you enjoy snuggling in with your magazine. We started the wood stove this morning and are having a cozy time of it ourselves :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty post. It makes me want to light a fire and snuggle up with a good book and a cup of tea! Speaking of which, what a beautiful cup and saucer.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
Have a warm and wonderful weekend. Your photo looks cozy.
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to that magazine, too, Mary! Except that I haven't got that issue yet and now that I've had a peek at yours, I want mine!! :) Have a great weekend! ~ hugs, Lynda ♥
ReplyDeleteThat magazine looks really interesting. Once again your photographs look like they should be in the magazine!
ReplyDeleteA lovely new magazine & a hot cup of tea sounds like the perfect way to spend a cool Autumn afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your cuppa. It certainly looks good.
ReplyDeleteYou are the second person I have heard recommend The English Home magazine. I may have to investigate:)

What a lovely scene. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh Mary, I love your day today! And I love English Magazines. I pick the up at B&N whenever I go there...

I saw this issue of the magazine just recently. I am holding off to see which of all the Christmas issues I will buy as I am a Christmas issue junkie! I agree with you that a girl needs a cup of tea. I drink Extra strong English breakfast tea with milk and no sugar. What about you?
ReplyDeleteIn this time of the cottage look and white furniture, I love seeing your photos. I too love the 'manor house look' of English country style.

Have fun!!

Hi Mary....I nominated you for an award on my blog........

Hmmmmm, nothing sounds better to me than an Old English Christmas...but that probably just means I've watched A Christmas Carol one too many times. lol
ReplyDeleteLove the teacup! hope you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, those pics actually make me want to like tea...and I really don't. I prefer hot chocolate or a cappucino for something hot, but your pics are beautiful.

I love that magazine. I should subscribe, I pay a fortune per magazine when I see it! I love English houses and how cozy everything feels!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it, I don't have that one yet!
Melissa
No you didn't enter my giveaway to late....I will announce a winner tomorrow (Monday)

The English Home magazine is one of my favorites, I've been getting it for a few years now. Love it!
ReplyDeleteDonna :)
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteYes that magazine is so wonderful! And why in the heck did the December issue arrive in my mailbox in early October? I have an alabaster bowl like yours and fill it with small pebbles and plant paperwhites in it every November--thanks for the reminder.
Ann
