OK, so I may have a slight problem. Those of you who have been visiting here for awhile already know of my obsession with dishes. Well, I seem to be collecting flower prints these days.
I'm not sure when this began, but I suddenly find myself with a few too many pictures (printed and needlepoint) of roses and violets and primroses and pansies. And several other flowers, too.
I think the women at the thrift store have my number. They see me coming and say, "Quick, put out all the flowered things -- here she comes!"
I swear, that's how I ended up with all these flower prints. Some not even framed yet. They all begged to be taken home from the thrift store.
Well, maybe a few came from the antique shops. And a couple may have been on ebay.
Yeah, I guess I have a slight problem.
Slight.
Mary, it could be worse...just think of all the other stuff you could be collecting!
ReplyDeleteAh, Mary...you are so cute with your writings! You always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteI love all your flower prints...with so many, you can change them out when you grow tired of one!
hugs, bj
Well they are all beautiful, how could you leave one behind?
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful addiction to have! And, I love that first pillow! Yikes! If it shows up missing.....I know nothing about it! LOL
ReplyDelete((hugs)) Rosie
hehehe...That's ok, could be worse.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea to rotate the prints. have a great day, Janie
We all understand your addiction. Some of us have the same problem! Beautiful flowers. I couldn't leave any of them, either. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Mary...
ReplyDeleteNo big deal - that's a good problem to have! Thanks for sharing those beautiful botanical prints and needlepoints.
Hey there are worse things to have problems with. I absolutely love the floral prints. If you are by chance looking to eliminate any of them, let me know. I can envision them framed and hanging on my wall.
ReplyDeleteHard to pass those type pictures up.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI love flower prints too and have four in my bedroom and several more tucked away waiting for the "guest" room to turn back into the guest room.
Sorry I haven't visited lately. Still trying to get back to normal after the trip. And this darn Hashimoto's gets me down, but I think I'm winning.
Hugs, Laura
Love florals & lovely blog! You have impeccable photography skills....where can I get some of that? LOL
ReplyDeleteThey're lovely! I think slight obsessions are a good thing. lol I have a few myself, so healthier than others. At least both of yours are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA problem would be too much alcohol, or a drug addiction. This is not a problem. Well, if it is, it's a lovely one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would agree with all above.....you don't have a problem at all. We enjoy seeing your "addictions"!
ReplyDeleteOh...I don't think you have a problem at all! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou have lovely things to share...
Hugs,
Robin
think things we love always look orphaned..or so our brain tells us..and they need us..their Mama to get them home...sometimes after we have them for awhile..years..it's time to gently nudge them out the door.. i.e. yard sale or ebay...where we turn the monies into saving more things that need a home..the cycle is endless...your flower things are beautiful...and look like they came home.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a problem, then I have the same ! I can't resist flowers, and some of my flowery items look very much like yours !
ReplyDeleteThere are far worse problems to have. And much less pretty things to indulge one's self with!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Not such a bad problem. You could collect plastic food containers like my great Aunt Mary. Took a couple of truck loads to get rid of those!
ReplyDeleteI just love botanical prints! Yours are really nice. You have such good taste! Take care. Stephanie
ReplyDeleteOh Mary, what a beautiful collection you have! I wish I could find such lovely flower goodies here. I'd say you have a good problem :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
I don't see a problem. Someone had to adopt them.
ReplyDeleteBut what a sweet obsession! And you are just so wonderful in the way you write...always a smile to be found here.
ReplyDeleteJust have fun with your collection! It is such a lovely one.
Love,
Sue
Yes Mary sweetie, you do have an addiction.......it's called good taste! Everything you collect and show us here is always so beautiful, and these are no exception!

Hee-hee!

Tara
at least you're collecting beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteArlene,
Poulsbo flowers
Good morning Mary :)
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for flower prints lately too. I don't have any wall space left, so this might be a problem. Do you think they have flower print anonymous? ;)
Off to read your other post...

rue
Love them ALL!!!!
