Yes, I know it's not Valentine's Day yet, but I just discovered how to add textures to my photos, and I'm having an enormous amount of fun playing with Photoshop. This photo, alone, was nothing to write home about. But with some texture and a quotation, I really like the way it turned out. I think I will use it as a Valentine's Day card. :)

No..keep it. Make everyone jealous that they don't have one! :) Just exquisite, Mary! Needless to say, you are a talented photographer. In baseball they would call you "A natural."

It's beautiful, Mary. I am in awe. I love the font you used for the text, too.
ReplyDeleteIt is really lovely Valentine’s Day card and a great idea!
ReplyDeleteAn easy way to learn pshop is to watch the "you suck at pshop" videos on youtube. they're a bit lewd, but he's got ton's of shortcuts that will make your life soooo easy!
ReplyDeletealso, there's a magazine that i find at costco called photoshop creative out of the UK, and it comes with a cd and tutorials. huge help.
Congratulations on just learning how to use textures. I haven't yet learned but it's on my 2009 list of things to learn (what I do instead of resolutions). I use a pretty light hand when it comes to processing, or none at all but I would like to dabble and try it anyway. Your photo has turned into a perfect Valentine's Day card!
ReplyDeleteLoved the Card you created! I just found it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, beautiful work. Congratulations!

What Photoshop can do in the hands of an artist...is limitless, I think. Nicely done...
