Rain, rain, rain, rain. Have I mentioned it's been raining a lot here? Tuesday morning we had a thunder storm extraordinaire. At 7:30AM it got so dark that you could barely see. Next came peals of thunder so loud that they set off car alarms. Then came the drenching rain.
And it's pretty much been raining all week.
We're keeping our fingers crossed for a nice weekend. And hopefully, you are all keeping your fingers crossed if you've entered my 500th post giveaway.
What, you haven't entered yet? Click here for the 411. And good luck! Winner to be announced Saturday morning. :)
I can empathize with you on the rain. Got up again this A.M. and it is raining. We have had two nights in a row of storms. Am excited about the give away. Blessings

I too, can empathize with you on the rain. Today is our fourth day of continuous rain. I am searching for the sunshine today, but I don't think that will happen since I just saw "flash flood warnings" on the TV. Hope you have a good day despite the rain. Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteI've got everything crossed that I am physically able to cross.
ReplyDeleteWe've had rain like that all week, too. It thundered for hours and hours last night. All of my flowers are soaked.
This has been the wettest spring I can remember in a long time. Our basement was flooded because of all the rain last month! Heres hopeing summer
ReplyDeletebrings some sunshine:>)
I have plants to get into the ground but it hasn't cooperated with me here either.
ReplyDeleteI see I'm not the only one completely tired of all this rain...and chill!...I've been asking my husband to light a fire each evening to take the chill out!...and my poor irises didn't stand a chance....
ReplyDeleteUgh, rain. My husband kindly informed me that we have had only two days in June without rain. I am waiting to finish planting, and spray painting. It will be August before my porch furniture is finished!
ReplyDeleteAnd wasn't that Tuesday thunderstorm a doozy?
Cass
Mary, we have had to close up the house and turn on the a/c just to get all the water out of here. Unbelievable, isn't it? Have a wonderful weekend. "They" are actually predicting a little sun;) But we know how "they" mess that up.....
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteOh, we got that Tuesday morning thunderstorm too!
The thunder was horrific. The sun is out here at my house today. I hope it lasts! Have a great weekend!
Rain or no rain, that is a beautiful view!

ReplyDeleteIt's been a tough June--last night we had some LOUD thunder...I remember my Mom always saying, "God is bowling up there!" Hee-hee!
Its been dark and gloomy here, too. Though we had thunder and lightning last week, we had one casualty. Hope it will be nice weather for the weekend.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Looking forward to the contest!
Fingers crossed here that you have a great weather-w/e!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a nice weekend Mary, it's yucky here too and Summer is nowhere to be found...so much for "sunny" Southern California.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
I love your blog, just across it today, wonderful. I will be returning. Sandi
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteI had to click on your profile to remind myself where you live because we had the same EXACT thing going on Tuesday morning at the SAME time. My daughter came running out of her room to sleep on the couch, she was so scared! And the rain, wow. We had flash flood warnings because the sewers couldn't keep up.
Well, this is your post, not mine!!! I hope you didn't have any damage.
We are supposed to have rain tomorrow. I'm praying they are wrong. I want some sun!!!
xoxo

Mary, that picture is beautiful, even if it is stormy. I hope the rains and especially the storms have let up and you are having a wonderful weekend! laurie
