Tulips are my answer to cabin fever and the winter blues. I buy them at the supermarket when they are on sale, and I move them from room to room with me.
I also love to take pictures of them.
I have not actually gotten all my Christmas decorations packed up yet, but I'll get to them today. In the meantime, I'm having fun with the new camera I got for Christmas, and I'm enjoying my little vase of springtime. :)
So now, to announce the winner of last week's giveaway: Random.org picked number 35.
And number 35 belonged to Traci, of One Fell Out of the Cuckoo's Nest. Congratulations, Traci! Contact me at mrcarroll(at)optonline(dot)net to let me know your address, and which print you would like. :)
What really beautiful pictures!!! I especially like the close-up of the tulip blossoms. Wishing you a grand day! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI'll be picking up some tulips one day soon. I'm ready for a taste of Spring.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your new camera.

Pink tulips are so pretty. Especially in a milk glass vase! I used to have pink tulips in a little garden out near the sidewalk ... unfortunately someone(s) seemed to like pink tulips too and they kept disappearing. There would be part of a stem, but no flower. Didn't know what was going on til one day I was looking out my front window and saw a little girl from down the block ride by on her tricycle, stop in front of my house and pick a tulip and ride back towards her house with it. Well... what are you going to do? Can't get mad at a little kid for liking a pretty flower. And once it's picked it's picked. Can't glue the stem back. From then on I just figured that any pink tulips that bloomed out there were for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery nice promise of spring on a cold winter day!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pictures, Mary. Just great. Love your new camera. What is it? Hope you have a wonderful day, despite winter! Love Eva's background music, too. So soothing. Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteBeautiful stunning tulip pics!!! I have been watching to see if you will be putting copies of those in your etsy shop, but haven't seen them yet. Might I be able to buy one or two, especially the top one? I am Dutch, and sure do love the photo (along with the blue soup bowl, with the windmill!) You do beautiful work! Hope to hear from you soon!
