Friday Redux

It's amazing how many tiny blossoms you can get on one of these pots of miniature narcissus.

This one is sitting on my kitchen table, where we can enjoy it despite the nasty weather outside.

I seem to be making a habit of posting daffodil images on Fridays, and wishing for spring. We're in the middle of a nor'easter as I write this. By the time it posts on Friday morning, we could be on our way to quite a decent snow event, as the forecasters say. By Saturday morning, we could have 15 inches.

Ay Caramba!

  1. My youngest once called them dafferlilies. That being said, they really are beautiful and now I anxiously await the arrival of mine in the garden! HOPE! Thank you! Cathy

  7. Your narcissus are sweet and lovely. My, you must be so tired of the snow by this time. It's been quite mild here in Idaho. I'll try to send some warmer weather your way.

  11. Wow Mary... Those are so pretty... I usually force the white ones... I haven't seen yellow narcissus! Perhaps they only save those yellow ones for you guys who have to look at all that white stuff in the winter? I'm sending you a jar of Arizona sunshine and blue skies my Friend...

    Stay warm

  15. Ay caramba is right. You'll just enjoy the spring all the more when it arrives I bet. Here it is brown and slushy-not so pretty but the bike paths are clear and I am grateful. I loved your grandma comment re calling daffodils -dafferlillies-made me laugh.

  16. All I can say is that more snow give us all an excuse to hole up with a cuppa and surf the blog world! We don't have snow right now, just cold. Here's the good thing about winter. 1. you don't have to mow the grass.
and guess what? IT'S ALMOST OVER!!!

  20. You sure have had more than your fill of snow this winter. So much for global warming. We used to live in Philadelphia and I can remember some years when we would have daffodils blooming at this time of year! Just be patient dear Mary spring is just around the corner. I hope :)
