I promised more thrilling rummage sale finds, so here they are. Are you quivering with excitement? Pale with anticipation?
Bored out of your gourd?
Anyway, here they are:
A pair of unusually framed flower prints. We all know by now that I cannot be trusted to walk away from anything flowery in a frame. Or not in a frame.
Which leads very nicely to my next find, a handpainted tin tray with daffodils. Perfect for my kitchen.
Three examples of pressed flower art. See above, regarding flowers and frames.
And finally, the picture at the top of the post -- a cute needlepoint in a tiger maple frame. I would have bought it just for the frame alone, but I do love the needlepoint, too.
I did get some books, too. Maybe I'll save those for another day...unless you have had enough "yada, yada, yada..." for the time being. :)
Mary
ReplyDeleteI am a lover of old needpoint, too...those flowers have an interesting frame! You done good (again!)

Mary, these are lovely finds. I especially love the tray with pressed flowers. This looks like a wonderful arrangement together. Karen
ReplyDeleteMary...do you have to build new walls in the middle of rooms every so often;)? I have some of the same weaknesses, but have almost run out of places to put them...Love the needlepoint!
ReplyDeleteI'm never bored with flea market finds! Jealous? yes Bored? never I think reading blogs saves my pocketbook from further dangerous spending. I can enjoy the treasures from afar!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing what treasures you have found to add to your little red house:>) I love flower items too so I understand your obsession!
ReplyDeleteI would have considered my shopping adventure a success if I all left with was the daffodil tray. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe daffodil tray is so perfectly spring. I am not one bit bored by your gathering in even as I am letting go. It's providing me some balance. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe dried flowers are gorgeous. I love the tray and the needle point is awesome. Yeah for "yada yada yada" .
ReplyDeleteAhhh, these are all so pretty, Mary. Do you try hanging them all at once or do you "trade" out and do you have a "Shop at Home" space where you keep all your unused items until they need to "come out"?
ReplyDeleteI am especially in love with the little tray !!
hugs, bj
Everything is great but I adore the Daffodil tray! If it comes up missing, you know I have stalked the premises! LOL!
ReplyDelete((hugs)) Rosie
Mary,
ReplyDeleteI knew you wouldn't be able to resist the tray. Do trays qualify as another obsession? I think they do for me.
Janet
Mary, you did really good! I just love that tray that you found and that needlepoint...oooh that is very nice!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
Great finds! I recently got a couple of oval frames, like your gold one...mine have a domed front so I think I'll replace the dried florals w/ a collage.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!!!! I like the needlepoint the best! :)
Hi Mary :)
ReplyDeleteAll your new found treasures are darling. I might have to wrassle you for that needlepoint though ;)
Hugs,
rue
Mary, your flower finds are wonderful. My favorite is the sweet little tray painted with daffodils. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny! I say bring on the treasures! You sure did find some good ones too! Would love to see what great books you found. I have been looking around for some older books myself for display, since I saw your post one day with the old books with the pretty covers. I love how you display everything too.
Hard to pick a favorite..but I would have to say it's the needlepoint.
