Tulips and Sunshine

A bunch of tulips from my honey on Valentine's day, and some much-needed sunny weather, combined to raise my spirits this week. Isn't it amazing how little it takes to raise my spirits? lol

Of course, the tulips immediately went in a milk glass vase, and the vase went on my favorite tole tray.

I am so thrilled to see the sunshine -- it's been so cold and gray and snowy this winter that a little sunshine is an amazingly lovely sight.

I adore pink tulips... and purple and white and yellow... well, you get the picture. :)

So that's about as exciting as it gets around here -- I've got tulips and sunshine!

  1. Mary ~ I received white tulips from hubby for Valentine's Day. It's supposed to be 40 degrees here in Ontario and I am smiling. Your tulips are beautiful ;-)

And...with tulips & sunshine comes the promise of spring. The days are getting longer & in a few weeks the time changes and the evenings will be lighter - ah, the promise of spring. (o:

  4. Hello Mary
Tulips and sunshine would do it for me too. I received a large mixed bouquet so I'm halfway there - the weather is gloomy and snowing here today.

  5. Well that's a combination you just can't beat....tulips and sunshine! Thanks for a lovely post. Tulips are my favorite flower. Almost all of the flowers at our wedding were white tulips with just a few orange blossoms thrown in for eternal love.

  12. Your tulips are just gorgeous. Hopefully it will warm soon in your area. Here in N FL I cut my first daffodils and posted on my blog. There are signs of Spring in some areas of our country. I hope you will check out my post and be lifted by it. My photos are not nearly as beautiful as yours, still a novice with my photo efforts.
