The weather is smiling, the flowers are starting to come fast and furious -- it's time for lunch on the deck. I've picked some forsythia and quince, and set the table with my mother's Wedgwood, our wedding crystal and my favorite coin silver spoons. Will you join me?

I'd love to come! You're table is magnificent. Quince is another bush on my wish list. Aren't they just beautiful this time of year?

I'll be right there! I wonder when our weather will smile so we can get our furniture out of storage and eat on the patio. I think it will be a while yet. Your pictures are wonderful. Such a lovely setting for lunch. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteYay! How beautiful! Looks like a lovely afternoon!
ReplyDeleteAmanda:)
OOh, so pretty! How wonderful has the weather been!? We have had 70's and sunshine all week, makes me antsy to get outside when I go to work.
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteIt has certainly been a lovely week here also. I have spent so much time trying to get the yard looking good and digging up my old flower garden (to nourish soil and replant) that my house inside has certainly suffered. I would love to take a shower, change into something pretty and come for lunch. Thanks for asking :-)
Janet
As soon as it's warm enough, we like to have ALL our meals out on the deck even if it means wearing a jacket:-} Your table setting looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Our quince bush isn't out, yet, in the MidAtlantic.
ReplyDeleteWould you come visit my blog and give me some ideas to decorate the big empty room pictured there? If I buy you a train ticket, would you come do it for me? :)
Good morning, Mary!
ReplyDeleteYes, I will be right there to join you for lunch. Your table setting is absolutetly gorgeous. I love how you do the mix-and-match with the Wedgwood dishes and Belleek vase, and some other floral creamer and sugar!
And your coin silverware is simply to die for!!!!!
Thanks for the invitation. :)
Too lovely for words! I can not imagine anything much more delightful than lunch on the deck. Looking at the dishes would be enough, I don't even have to eat!
ReplyDelete(I just came in from sweeping the deck. It is need of new paint and looks really chippy paint shabby, but I may try to do something similar for old times' sake one day soon.)
Absolutely! I'd love to join you. I'll be right over.
ReplyDeleteAren't you just loving the spring?!
Gorgeous!

Your tablesetting is beautiful! I wish my flowers were that nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm crazy, crazy, crazy for table settings and what I'll call "tablescapes". You've created a very lovely one here. I've been known to create entire dinner parties around a tablescape idea.
