Yes, all the winter white has been getting to me. So I made a mosaic of really colorful tulips that my husband gave me for my birthday last week. (Actually, there's one daffodil in there, too, but who's keeping track?) I think tulips have got to be one of my favorite flowers, even though we can't grow them at our Little Red House, because they always end up being very expensive deer food. I should probably try to grow some in pots on the deck, which seems to work for lilies, another deer favorite. Maybe next year. :)

Very lovely. A nice bright start to my morning. I'm sure the deer will get the tulips in our backyard again this year too. They seem to leave the ones in the front yard alone though, so at least I have those.

ReplyDeleteMmmm - tulips are one of my favorites - I don't grow them either for the same reasons, but I start buying them right about this time of year to have some Spring indoors. Love all the warm color tones going on in this mosaic!

ReplyDeleteI love tulips to. I have the same problem with the deer! When we first moved to our farm we planted 150 tulips and not a one came up! Great snacky for the deer!
