Oh, I am finding it really hard to come up with posts lately. I guess that is what happens when you are at 427 posts and counting...
So forgive me, but I'm just going to leave you with some embroidered white linen today. Think of it as a decorating classic. :)
You always find such beauty in the tiniest of details. I love pictures like this!
ReplyDeleteI love vintage linens. I like to think of the hands that lovingly cared for them before mine.
ReplyDeleteThis is a post. This is good. Plus, you can do whatever you want. This is your blog. But it is difficult sometimes, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHow feminine and lovely.

Beautiful post for someone with nothing to post! Do you iron all your linen or send it out?
ReplyDeleteYes, white linen is a decorating classic. This post makes me want to try some all-white embroidery. I've never attempted cut work, but I'd like to one day.
ReplyDeleteYou've got so many posts left in you...never fear about what to post.
I love this. I think it is beautiful and crisp and clean!
ReplyDelete...and it's just beautiful. I have vintage linen tablecloths that belonged to my great grandmother, and I adore them. They're from the 30's and have seen better days, but they are such treasures!!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week,

These pictures were a delightful gift (Today's my Birthday!)...white is my favorite color and that pic with the plate and linen was well done..the plate pattern in focus, the edge a bit fuzzy, then the linen in focus again. Great work! See, you never know who's going to be touched by a post! Inspiration will come to you as Spring approaches...
ReplyDeleteLovely details and just the thing I needed today - I'm simplifying (again and more) and these photos seem to be examples of how to pay attention to the special details of my life - and let the bothersome stuff go. Thanks
ReplyDeleteMary, just a few pictures from you make a delightful post! I hope you never run out of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember how I found your blog, some months ago, but your wonderful pictures and your equally wonderful writing inspired me to try a blog of my own. (Now my husband knows whom to blame!)
I even hesitate to call your page a "blog" -- it doesn't sound elegant enough, sounds more like what the dog does after eating too much grass in the yard! Yours is a charming and beautiful chronicle of precious moments and images.
Thank you for doing it! Any post we get from you is a gift.
Cass
Cass,
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet -- thank you SO much!

GORGEOUS photography! You've got a gift for it. Late winter seems to give us all the blahs...but your photos are always a bright spot in the day!
ReplyDeleteComing over here, looking at your pictures, it just makes my mind say, Ahhh. This is good.
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful photos of the linens. So lovely, as is your blog. Have a great day, Mary.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots...I am in a bit of a blog dry spell myself! Ideas are slow to come by in the depth of Feb, yes?
Hi Mary! I love your post! The white linen is so beautiful and so you! Can't believe you've have so many posts! That's great! I'm about to reach my 200th!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

ReplyDeletewonderful details
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful post! I love scrollwork -- on fabric, on utensils, on anything. Loved it!
ReplyDeleteTo me it's all about beauty in the simple things: nice white linens, beautiful china and some vintage silver. What could be more lovely? You have the ability/creatity to compose and capture the essence of that beauty.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Mary...

These linens are gorgeous! Pure, with such detail and precision! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThose are good photos. Sometimes it's hard to capture all white and get good exposure and detail. I love embroidered linens.
ReplyDeleteThose linens just made my heart beat faster!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard to come up with new things to post every day!!! If I think about what I'm going to blog about next week I get a panic attack....I have no idea! It's scary at times!
* Don't know why the apology~~~ THIS just warmed my heart~~~ it's something we simply don't see everyday, at least like we used to! Many thanks! Linda in AZ
