I've been resting my achy typing fingers lately, and focusing my lens on the little things. A drop of dew that clings to the grass,
the tiny florets of Queen Anne's Lace, (aren't they beautiful?),
this small pink cuphea blossom dancing on it's delicate stem,
and the magical spider's webs that appeared one morning on the dew-drenched lawn. What amazing beauty can be found when we just take some time to really look closely at things.
It's the little things. :)

I hope you will consider joining the fun at Mosaic Monday this week. Mr. Linky will be up (hopefully) by 8:30pm Sunday. Hope to see your link there. :)

Amazing photography here, Mizz Mary...
ReplyDeleteI do so hope you are enjoying the summertime. I know how you love your flowers and don't care for winter. Myself, on the other hand, keep having dreams of a big, roaring fire in my woodburning stove, cuddly throws, hot chocolate...oh, yes, I do love both summer and winter. Fall and spring are my least favorites.(and how I got off on this subject is beyond me! :)
hugs, bj

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photographs, Mary! And, you're right, it's amazing what all is happening around us if we stop and look at the little things. I read somewhere that it's not the big things in life that count but the million little things.... Your photos are perfect examples of this! See you Sunday!
ReplyDeletethat spiders web is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWell I know you realize how good your photographs are. Are you aware of NatGeo's daily dozen? You send in pics and if one is chosen it goes in their magazine. Give it a look.

I'm so sorry your fingers are still giving you so much trouble. Your photographs are beautiful. What an eye you have for the little things. I enjoyed seeing all of this beauty. laurie
ReplyDeleteThe last photo looks like a fairy put her table cloth out after washing and forgot about it over-night.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you the number of times I have tried to do a mosaic (last week and this week). There doesn't seem to be any way to ask a direct question on Big Huge Labs for help -- maybe you can help. I make the mosaic and then try to copy and paste the code for my blog, but it just disappears or only appears as the code and no photos. I have done this no less than 10 times, and have just about given up permanently. Each time I have to recreate the mosaic (the photos appear though before Create). The first time I did this it worked on my blog but never since. I would like to participate, but can't. Can you help?
ReplyDeleteOh, what beautiful pictures , they are so unique.Hopefully your fingers will get better soon
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful it made me cry. OK, so I am on my period and I am totally emotional has nothing to do with it. It has a lot to do with it. But they are so incredible! Gods world is a miracle to see through your eyes. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photo's you have posted. I happen to love all of your work. I think you have an eye for beauty!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm finding at my age that it is truly the little things that make life worth living. And that give me such pleasure each and every day. I am going to attempt a mosaic. Yet again! I tried with my Picasa account, and that went awry. So I've signed up with Flickr. I read your well-written instructions on how to do this. Don't know why I'm having so much trouble learning this!!! They're so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
