Just Popping In To Say Hi

Very busy day today, but I just thought I'd take a moment to show you this plate that I got at my favorite thrift store on Friday. They are closed for the summer, but they always have a one-day sale in August, just to whet your appetite for all the new things that will be offered in the fall.

And at $4., this little beauty from Czechoslovakia had me drooling. ;)

Have a beautiful day, dear bloggers! Mine will be filled with getting a recalcitrant car to the service station, getting my son to the train, and getting my daughter to soccer tryouts. Oh, and if you can, please say a prayer for my father-in-law, who is very ill.

I hope to be posting again on Friday or Saturday, when things will be a little calmer... :)

  3. I am praying for your Father in law and hoping you can relax a bit tonight after your busy day. The end of summer does speed things up doesn't it? Good thing that thrift shop will soon be open for therapy:>)

  12. Definitely prayers for the FIL. I can never find any outstanding items at the thrift store. China yes, but from Czech. Maybe I am not looking in the right places.

  14. Mary -- prayers for certain for your father-in-law. I just returned from bringing my dad to the neuologist -- there's always something. Getting older isn't for wimps.

Stay cool on this busy day! I think we went to the same thrift shop on Friday, but clearly you got there earlier than I did -- because otherwise that Czech beauty would be living here with me!

As always -- lovely. You do have the absolutely prettiest blog.

  26. How elegant and simple! I find that the simpler the better. I am trying to figure out how to make a mosaic but must be completely an idiot! Would it be too much to ask for a little instruction? I have googled and googled and nothing comes up with what mosaic means! HELP..I would love to mosaic or collage.
