It's actually a pitcher. As you can see, $6. at the thrift store. I'm not sure if I think it is cute or creepy. But that did not stop me from bringing it home. Do you think I need a 12-step program? ;)
Hi Mary. It's the first time I comment on your blog but I follow it for some time now, and no, I don't think you need medical help! I like the little cow, and at that price it's a real steal. I like how you arranged your home so very much, especially the kitchen and the little den beside it. If you have time, come to visit me at http://mylittleplace.blog.com. Take care Gracie
LOL, Cass! Well, Mary, If you are in "need" of therapy, you've selected the least costly method...I think...how often are you at the Thrift Store? I like the cow.
Ooooh, she's such a cutie! I'm still waiting for my cow pitcher from Burleigh (I couldn't resist their Red Calico and Red Prunus lines and bought a tea set for my sitting room -- the red will go so well with my red couch!) But yours is much more adorable than the Burleigh cows.
OH!! It looks like my red transferware! It's NOT creepy! I LOVE it!! No markings on it? Who cares! And YES! You need a twelve step program! Right straight over to me to give her to me!! :) GREAT FIND, Mary!! Mona
Ack!! I need that little cow! (Wow, never thought I'd type that sentence.) My whole kitchen is decorated in red and white toile, with my prized english red and white transferware dishes proudly and lovingly displayed. I am always on the lookout for unique red and white transferware pieces to add to my collection, but this is the first time I have seen a little cow cream pitcher!
If you decide to purge as a result of your 12-step program, I'd pay you a lot more than $6 for that little cow. ;) Lucky, lucky find!
Mary, I love transferware and would consider it an incredible find if I saw this cow in a thrift store! In fact if you don't want it, I would gladly take it off your hands ; ) Mooo!!!

Not at all creepy! She's adorable! You have such lovely taste in decor and your home is just beautiful.

No, its gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI think it is CUTE!
ReplyDeleteIt's cute! Is it mean't for cream maybe? Usually, you only see plain white ones. I like that it is colorful, so it must be a she.
ReplyDeleteAren't all cow pitchers of the "she" variety? After all, they give milk!
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable. If there is any creepy side, it's that the milk comes out of her mouth. Creepier still would be if it came out of the other end.
Cute cow!

I've gotta say ... I'm having a hard time seeing the "creepy". With that price tag still on, maybe "cheapy". Too cute for words.
