First of all, thank you so much for your anniversary wishes. You guys are the best!
I wanted to show you some of the infamous pots on my deck. I finally managed to get almost all of them filled, with a mixture of annuals and perennials. Don't you love lavender?
The glazed pot, (above), was a gift from my friend, Toni Ann. It is really heavy.
This urn (above) was on sale at Michael's last year.
I love these tiny blue flowers.
This pot has a mix of annuals and perennial euphorbia.
I'm hoping this perennial euphorbia will overwinter in the deck in it's pot. I love that acid green color almost as much as I love blue flowers.
Such a pretty lavender colored annual called angelonia. It's one of my favorite annuals.
We've been having some really nice weather here in New Jersey -- not too hot and humid, and not too dry. It hardly seems like July. So far, I've not even had to water the pots daily. That will probably change over the next few weeks. But in the meantime, I'm going to sit on the deck with some iced tea, and enjoy the flowers. :)
Gorgeous! We've had so much rain over the last few weeks that I can't sit out for long because of the mosquito infestation.
ReplyDeleteSitting on the deck drinking iced tea and enjoying the weather/flowers sounds divine! I love that urn and wish it were mine. The english country look is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Friday, Mary!

I would never go inside;)
ReplyDeleteYour pots look so beautiful. I love blue lavender and lobelia too. My lobelia never survives around here though. Your Angelonia reminds me of orchids, I've never seen them around here, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying these NJ days, too! After all that rain, my garden is finally starting to behave.
ReplyDeleteYes, finally sun, blue skies, and upper 70s! NJ is redeeming itself for June. Lovely pots, Mary -- very delicate and feminine looking.

Beautiful!! Looking at your flowers makes me a bit sad....I used to so love gardening. But somewhere along the way I got too busy and it became a chore. You are an inspiration....I need to put some time aside for ME.

The Blue Ridge Gal
We are not terribly far away in Southeastern PA. Our weather has been delightful. The air conditioning is off, the windows open and the birds are singing as I tap, tap, tap away here on the sofa.
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor areas must look great and smell wonderful too with the lavender.
I love your pots ...
ReplyDeleteSounds like perfection and the pots look terrific.
ReplyDeleteLove the cool colors in your pots. The Angelonia looks like little orchids, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou have some beautiful pics.

beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! As always. I love your pots with their abundance of flowers. And they all look so perfect, too. I am so glad your weather is good now. It's been beautiful here, too.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty pots Mary. Will you plant the lavender in your garden or will it overwinter in pots?
ReplyDeleteKathy -- the lavender will probably stay in the pot, since it doesn't do too well in our heavy clay soil...
ReplyDeleteyou have got lovely pots!!! heavy or not, thats the kind i want :)
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pots and plants! I think those little purple or blue flowers might be violas.

Your pots are great looking, what a good combination of plants! Guess you could say I like lavender. Last week lavender plants were 3 for $12 at the grocery store. I bought six of them. They have joined the 5 other lavender plants already in the garden.
ReplyDeleteMary, your flowers are beautiful and so are your flower pots. laurie
