Ah, summer! This has been one of the most beautiful summers I can remember, with perfect growing conditions. We had a lot of rain in the spring, and even though we are enjoying warm and sunny days now, they are tempered by cool breezes. Days are filled with the drone of bees as they fly from flower to flower, and the evenings are cool and lit by the flicker of fireflies. These are the days we will remember when the sky is an unremitting gray, and the snow is turned to slush in the roadways.

Hi Mary! What a beautiful mosaic! I love the flowers...so summery and so many gorgeous colors! Is that a thistle from the field near your house? I have goldfinches who use the down for their nests and I have even thought about planting some to help attract them. Maybe not a good idea, huh?? lol Have a great week!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteDebbie, the thistle is in the park near my home. There is a wildflower field there and yes, there are a lot of goldfinches there, too. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Mary, this is a great collection of flowers, colors so soft. The sunset is so beautiful. Rain was good for the flower gardens. It is hot in my area and hope the weather will cool off. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteSuch a glorious, bright and cheerful mosaic! (Right now, it is late afternoon, but outside is grey mist, grey rain and almost darkness! Plus cold! Sighhhh)
