I've been having a lot of fun processing my photos from the beach. A little Photoshop magic and they end up looking like vintage postcards. :)
But I may have been overdoing it just a little -- my right hand is really achy and I wonder if I'm getting a touch of arthritis in it. Yikes! I think I'll take the day off, and hope that it feels better on Thursday.
Catch you later, alligators!
That's a super effect. What fun you could have with it.

Love it. Quite charming. I would welcome hearing about which steps you took to make your vintage postcard.
ReplyDeleteI find that a day or two of rest helps.
Such a lovely faded effect! Definitely the essence of vintage!
ReplyDeleteWonderful - really cool! You're getting RSI - be careful - I have it and it tis a pain - google it and you can find some ways to prevent it...
ReplyDeleteThere is something sweet about the old timey look of this photo:>) We always look at the old photos and the faded quality makes us feel that those days were somehow better, slower, happier. For all it's problems, this time has it's happy, lazy days too. Is it just that it makes a difference what filters we use to view our present days with? I hope yur hand feels better soon. I've begun to get a few aches in my handss too. Stink:>(
ReplyDeleteI adore this, Mary! It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the effects on this photo - slightly faded and vintage looking. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTo me it almost looks like the image is on an old piece of worn fabric. It looks good Mary!
ReplyDeleteDid you buy a brace for your wrist/hand? I've noticed more than anything else that photography hurts my hand. Being a painter and using the computer all the time doesn't help either but holding the camera and pressing that button seems to make it ache the most. Besides, you're too young for arthritis ; )

Very fun effect.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy to spend much time mousing and clicking. Hope your hand feels better soon.
Have a great day!

What a wonderful "old postcard"! All it needs is "Wish you were here!" I really need to upgrade to a real photo program, I'm still just using the sample that came with my computer a few years ago!

Very nice. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLovely Mary ....
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better..perhaps you should try a brace !!!
Kathy :)
That is awesome! Your photo turned out really good. You'd never know it was a modern day photo. Somehow, it does make everything seem so much simpler, happier. Weird, huh. It's a gorgeous scene. I'm very impressed.
ReplyDeletereally great effect on this image. love it.
ReplyDeleteOh Mary, I looked at this pic and said "Is that real?"

ReplyDeleteThis is so effective Mary.

Very cool! I might have to explore that.
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Looks vintage..except for the bathing suits..
ReplyDeleteTake something for that pain, Mary!
I hope it feels better soon. My mom started getting arthritis. They say it;s hereditary but no one in her family has ever had it-it makes me wonder if it isn't a side effect form her cancer and chemo.
ReplyDeleteI am starting a NEW Mr. Linky party. It will begin on Aug 10th so everyone will have a week and a half to think about their first post. I have a poll up for votes on which button should be the new button. The "party" is called The Knock Off Knock Out-where THRIFTY meets creative sensation. Go over and learn more about the new weekly event and I would appreciate if you would cast your vote and HELP pick the new button design and its the last week for the July GIVE-A-Way, if you would like to be a part of that event..

Love this vintage look...I also adore looking at the old victorian photos of the houses. That's probably the only way I'll ever get to see them...thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteOh, it does look very vintage! Beautiful to begin with. But you brought magic to it!
