I have a feeling that I'm a frustrated florist. Or maybe I was a flower seller in another life. ;)
At any rate, I love to make up little arrangements. This is just a few wild and cultivated asters, and some peony leaves that have turned a beautiful salmon color.
The vase is carved soapstone. It was one of my father's favorite pieces. The tray is a very shabby antique purchased a few years ago from a local antique shop.
Even just a few flowers around the house always brightens my day. :)
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

It's almost time for another Mosaic Monday. Where does the time go?! Hope to see you this week. Mr. Linky will be up by 8:30pm Sunday.
I have a few soapstone pieces from India. Your vase is amazing! Hope you are having a super Saturday! :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteI love learning more about you. You could have been a forest ranger, an international supermodel, a jockey and now a florist. You are truly a Renaissance woman.
ReplyDeleteWith a gift for taking a beautiful photograph.
(i love that vase, too)
Mary,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs. I love the focusing that you manage to do. Is that your camera or a program?
Carol

ReplyDeleteConnie, I always forget about Pink Saturday!
Carol, the focus is achieved with a large aperture (around f2.8). Do you have a DSLR camera?
Very very gorgeous photos! I want to take pictures like you when I grow up! LOL I need to learn more than the clicking button on the camera! :)

ReplyDeleteMary, I just wanted to say that you are a remarkable photographer!! And your home is so lovely ~ it's a real treat to visit your blog!
ReplyDeleteHave often thought that working in a florist shop would be great fun, but I don't have the talent. You do! But mostly, your photography is just out of this world beautiful. Oh, yes, I'm planning to be here. Every week I promise myself that I will get all the way through the list of participants. Maybe this week!
ReplyDeleteI also love little arrangements in petite vases. I often carry a little vase of flowers to work to keep on my desk.
ReplyDeleteI always admire how your little bouquets are so elegant.
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job arranging these little asters! They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing florist for a frustrated one. I have so much trouble with flower design. I just don't seem to get how to make them look . . . like, well yours. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the arrangement..beautiful combi of colors.
