This is the second year I have done a calendar from the free Shutter Sisters templates. This year, I had some printed up as 5" x 5" prints at Mpix, and I'm offering a few in my etsy shop. I'm also keeping one to use. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out, and it's very convenient to display on a bulletin or magnetic board. If you have Photoshop, go grab the template from Shutter Sisters and give it a whirl. It's so easy, and fun!
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your words of encouragement yesterday. Your comments always make my day, but they are especially appreciated when I'm feeling a little apprehensive about the future. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

Love your calendar Mary. The photos that you chose were just right. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteYour calendar is just beautiful! I'm sorry to always be so enthusiastic but it's really, really beautiful! I just showed it to my husband (who often grunts when I show him things from the internet. Not, too often that I do that...) and he said the same thing - "Wow! Very elegant! Now, there's a great gift idea!" (Just think in a deep bass voice, though. =])
ReplyDeleteI, also, loved seeing your "year in review" of favorite pics. It's thrilling in both of these cases to see the sweep of the seasons like this.
Now, about that wonderfully heartfelt, New Year's post. It's funny but I've been thinking and thinking about your portraits. I've been looking at some of the very professionally put together portraits around and think to myself that you would be the one that I would choose to do our families' portrait. You know, I've been reading and studying about it. I've been thinking about it all weekend. What a coincidence! =]
So, anyway, Happy New Year!!!
Love, Me xo
Great idea you have. Little late but here. Blessings

Mary, I love your calendar. Thanks for the link.... I went straight away to download it!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2011!
Lovely calendar. Thanks for sharing the template, I finally felt inspired and created one too. Although my mosaic is a little lumpy compared to your clean edges. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely calendar. I enjoy your mosaic mondays, and now that I have discovered how to do a mosaic, i'm thinking of maybe joining in. One day, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the calendar link for the templates. Guess who has been working on a calendar all day???? It has made me deal with Photoshop. I am printing of photo paper - glossy but if I am really happy with the way they look I will have them printed like you did!
Again, your photography is always beautiful.
Carol
Such a wonderful creation

Nice layout for the calendar. I had a few photo calendars made from my own photos as Christmas presents for family and friends, but they were the kind with one sheet for each month. I'll check out your link for the free templates, thanks.
ReplyDeleteMary this is just georgeous. I love your idea.
ReplyDeleteYou always have an artictis flare when it comes to this.
