Good morning, dear bloggers! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. It's very quiet here this morning -- my kids are still asleep and my husband is in the office. I have several projects pending at the moment, but here I sit, editing a few pictures and listening to the crows outside my window.
Actually, this has been rather a busy week, wildlife-wise, in my neck of the woods. On Wednesday, I saw a pair of pileated woodpeckers in the park; and yesterday, I spotted a fox right next to our deck where I often throw stale bread for the birds. Unfortunately, I did not get photos of either sighting. So I'm going to leave you with a picture of the little pink primrose which is brightening my kitchen counter at the moment.
Happy weekend, dear bloggers! And because I don't say it nearly enough: Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy days to visit me here and leave such lovely comments!

It's almost time for Mosaic Monday again. Where did the week go? I hope to see you all tomorrow. The linky thingy will be up by 8:30 pm Sunday. Thanks for sharing your world with me!
Beautiful photo! :) Hurray for wildlife sightings too! I saw a pheasant the other day and the largest flock of geese in a field I've ever seen! :) If only I had a photo of either!
ReplyDeleteThere's always wildlife outside our windows and around the ponds. All's quiet inside though, since the grandchildren flew of with their parents yesterday - the house is full of remembered echoes of young voices.
ReplyDeleteI got a flower exactly like te one in your picture last weeked :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of a project too and was just thinking of fooling around with some photos but am going to make myself go back and finish what I was doing. It really needs to be done (putting away Christmas). Maybe a little cleaning.
ReplyDeletePretty in the snow here.
Beautiful picture. Sounds like a wonderful morning. I love the quiet time of the early morning, just the birds, and my coffee. Hope you have a super day. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo. It is quiet here too and I also have much to do, so I better get with it. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove the happy photo!
ReplyDeleteI am taking down Christmas and enjoying the clean feel of the house. My husband is actually doing it and I am (sort of) helping!
Beautiful photos!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your quiet moment with us.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend

Don't you love wildlife spottings? Hope you enjoyed your quiet morning. The primrose picture brightened my day. Carla
ReplyDeleteOnly wildlife I saw today was the pesky squirrels, and one of the neighbors. :)
ReplyDeletePretty primrose! I usually try to pick up a pot of them, after I pitch the last of the poinsettias, but have not been back to the store.
Enjoy your weekend.
I adore that quiet time of the morning when everyone else is still snuggled in bed and it is just me and what is going on outside my window. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeletePrimroses in January are a most welcome sight, even if they are nursery grown. What a pretty colour yours has.
ReplyDeleteI love when mother nature graces me with sightings such as yours. Beautiful picture of the primroses, they are so cheerful looking:)
ReplyDeletesuch a special flower amid the quiet light mary ..happy weekend
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my mother's favorite flowers....so sweet......
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous photo Mary:) My daughter has been visited frequently at her house by a pileated woodpecker and I am dying to see it! Another excuse to buy another lens too...now I need a telephoto lens:)
ReplyDeleteearly in the morning before anyone wakes is one of my very favorite times of the day.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteSome day I will learn how to do a mosaic and join you for Mosaic Monday!
Your primrose is pretty. Neat wildlife sightings, the Pileated Woodies are cool birds to see and hear.
