Quiet

Good morning, dear bloggers! I hope you are having a lovely weekend. It's very quiet here this morning -- my kids are still asleep and my husband is in the office. I have several projects pending at the moment, but here I sit, editing a few pictures and listening to the crows outside my window.

Actually, this has been rather a busy week, wildlife-wise, in my neck of the woods. On Wednesday, I saw a pair of pileated woodpeckers in the park; and yesterday, I spotted a fox right next to our deck where I often throw stale bread for the birds. Unfortunately, I did not get photos of either sighting. So I'm going to leave you with a picture of the little pink primrose which is brightening my kitchen counter at the moment.

Happy weekend, dear bloggers! And because I don't say it nearly enough: Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy days to visit me here and leave such lovely comments!

It's almost time for Mosaic Monday again. Where did the week go? I hope to see you all tomorrow. The linky thingy will be up by 8:30 pm Sunday. Thanks for sharing your world with me!

  1. Beautiful photo! :) Hurray for wildlife sightings too! I saw a pheasant the other day and the largest flock of geese in a field I've ever seen! :) If only I had a photo of either!

  2. There's always wildlife outside our windows and around the ponds. All's quiet inside though, since the grandchildren flew of with their parents yesterday - the house is full of remembered echoes of young voices.

  4. I'm in the middle of a project too and was just thinking of fooling around with some photos but am going to make myself go back and finish what I was doing. It really needs to be done (putting away Christmas). Maybe a little cleaning.
    Pretty in the snow here.

  11. Only wildlife I saw today was the pesky squirrels, and one of the neighbors. :)
Pretty primrose! I usually try to pick up a pot of them, after I pitch the last of the poinsettias, but have not been back to the store.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  12. I adore that quiet time of the morning when everyone else is still snuggled in bed and it is just me and what is going on outside my window. Enjoy your weekend.

  13. Primroses in January are a most welcome sight, even if they are nursery grown. What a pretty colour yours has.
