Happy & Peppy

Greetings, peeps! I just wanted to say thank you for all your lovely get well wishes. I truly enjoyed reading every one! I now have three days of antibiotics under my belt, and I am starting to feel a little better. :)

I thought that I would show you something else that is making me feel nice these days: this little vignette of white in my kitchen. I just love this display of graduated platters on the wall. Isn't it funny how the littlest things can make you happy?

Of course, I'm happy right up to the point where I find that I need a platter; then I start to rethink the whole display. lol

Tell me: what is making you happy these days?

  5. The white ironstone against the checked wallpaper is a great combination, and creates a pretty corner vignette indeed.
Rereading the Wind in the Willows has made me nostalgic and happy this week.

  10. Oh so very glad you are doing better! Love the platters. Seeing your display reminds me of two old white platters we found in my late MIL's basement. It's about time I hung them up. Kit

  11. I think I had something similar--the antibiotics helped but took awhile to really feel right again. The white platters make me smile also. I guess you could always grab it off the wall in a pinch!

  12. Glad to hear that you are feeling better! That's the rub about charming displays ~ sometimes we might actually want to use the items we so carefully display. Happens to me all of the time!!

  16. Well it makes me happy to hear the happy in your words here. And happy that we had some snow last night, not that it amounted to much.

  20. I love the white display. Very refreshing. What's making me happy these days? Welllllll, fresh flowers in the middle of the table, working on my dollhouse miniatures, reading, and writing. Oh! and sitting by the fireplace with the c-c-c-c-c-c-old temps outside. Susan

  22. Oh, dear! I've missed a fair few of your posts! How did that happen?

I just love your words and can totally relate to your love of old photos. You were saying how you would like to know how these strangers "turned out" and I thought of the Chronicles of Narnia. Aslan says, "that is another's story and not for you to know." It was a wise moment, anyway - I wonder if you know it. Anyway, your comment just made that pop into my mind.

I've been thinking about blue for a couple of months, too. I love to push the lever in PP towards it. I've been calling it my "blue period", too! =] Once again - great minds think alike!

Your snowy day story was lovely - your writing in the last few posts has just been EXTRA pleasant to read. Thanks, friend, for sharing these peeks into your life!

    Love, Me xo
