Three fluffy little chicks have come to Easter Brunch. They are nestled snug in a linen napkin, and share the table's centerpiece with some faux flowers, a milk glass plate and a goblet full of speckled eggs.
The green and white toile tablecloth features little chicks, too. White ironstone plates are set on rattan chargers, and the flatware is vintage silverplate and bone.
This is our kitchen table, overlooking the garden. The deacon's bench in the back belonged to my parents.
Flowers and eggs echo the colors in the mural on the pantry doors behind them.
Turnip salt and peppers. Like something out of Mr. McGregor's garden. :)
Won't you sit down?
This little hen has come to roost on the table.
The table is set with ironstone dishes, rattan chargers and toile napkins. Napkin rings are from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

And, of course, the ubiquitous "bunny on a stick" also from Pier One. Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Easter!

I am going to Pier One as soon as they open. Must have those baby chicks! Oh, and what time do you want me to be there on Sunday?;)
ReplyDeleteOkay, Mary...you win the best tablescape, hands down! Love every single thing about it. And, of course, the fact that your pictures are of magazine quality doesn't hurt. I also love how you put your milk glass to work...and we all know milk glass and pastel colored eggs are just made for each other. BRAVO!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to sit down and enjoy this beautiful table! Those little fuzzy chicks are so cute :)
Happy Easter!
xoxo,
rue
magazine worthy!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and fun! Love the green and white tablecloth. Perfect background!
ReplyDeleteSooooooooooooo Beautiful! I love the Deacon's Bench! The little chicks, the glasses, and most of all the China! You have a lovely home! Deb
ReplyDeleteOh soooo pretty! Those fluffy chicks crack me up. My daughter Anne was home overnight, asked me why I had "fake bunny topiaries" in all the houseplants; I was shocked that she didn't know about bunnies-on-a-stick! These college students must live in a vacuum.
ReplyDeleteNo tablescaping for me today -- was out with Anne all day yesterday, down to Rutgers for grad school interview (accepted!) and then a lovely meandering Rte 206/202 ride home, thru crazy snow flurries.
Lovely Easter brunch table. (I really like the shot of the centerpiece, with the light coming through the little milk glass plate.)
My Easter Brunch will be tossed together, our traditional matzoh and Easter Egg post-church meal. Happy Easter!
Cass
What a really lovely table and I love the drapes.

ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
This is so pretty! I love the little chicks peeking out of the basket. Kristen
ReplyDeleteYour table is soooo very pretty! I love the chick them and even having them in the tablecloth and napkins! Those little fuzzy chicks are amazingly cute! Loved your table!
ReplyDeleteI'm enthralled with that milk glass plate behind the chickies. Is that a raised pattern of a chicken and eggs? The light shining through is magical. Sally
ReplyDeleteare your framed birds needlepoint? i have a grossbeak and a scarlet tanager in smaller, but similar, frames; they could be from the same source. (they were my great aunts who lived in bala cynwyd, pa. and i have the same waterford. so we must be related! have a happy easter. you certainly are prettily prepared! jkj
ReplyDeleteI love your green and white combination. The gardener in me. And what cute little chicks!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Hi jkj, Yes, the framed birds are needlepoint. They belonged to my mother. I have no idea where she got them... My in-laws gave me the Waterford. Wouldn't it be fun if we were related?! Have a happy Easter!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mary

ReplyDeleteEvery single time I visit you...I wonder what it is about the things you do in your home that I love so much! Is it the simplicity? I know what it is!! Yes...I do! It looks like you are not "trying." It always looks like it just ..happened. Yeah..I know that is not very clear..but...it's the best I can do! As usual I know you get it! ~smile~
ReplyDeleteMona

ReplyDeleteHello Mary, I am very late for TT this week, but just wanted to tell you that I think your first photograph of your Easter brunch centerpiece should be on the front cover of a magazine, it really is gorgeous and just captures spring perfectly, I adore your whole tablescape. I am sorry to hear your feeling so bad, the Menopause is no fun that's for sure, hope your symptoms ease soon, wishing you a happy week, Kathy.
