I promised you a glimpse of some things I snagged at the thrift store on Monday. Here they are. I'm planning on hanging them in the newly painted master bedroom. (Please don't tell me they're corny. They look really good in the room.) I'm still waiting for the toile fabric sample to arrive, and we need to install some new closet knobs and a really heavy mirror that I had been saving for use elsewhere. I also need to find a rug or two, and perhaps some lamps...
So the redecoration is proceeding apace. I'll give you more updates in dribs and drabs as they happen, In the meantime, have a wonderful and blessed Easter, dear bloggers!
Can't wait to see the finished product, Mary! Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteDecorating is such an ongoing project, isn't it? I went to the antique store yesterday and left with nothing! I know, shocking.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great Easter too.
Wonderful, I saw something similar in an antique store a few weeks ago and was *this* close to buying it, now I'm kicking myself looking at these!

Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour room re-do sounds intriguing and I love these silhouettes. I can’t wait to see how it all looks when you are finished. Have a wonderful day. ~Cathy~
I love silhouettes! They're traditional, but because they're so graphic it keeps them current. Can't wait to see them in your room. I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteSO not corny! I love silhouettes, and they seem to be having a resurgence in popularity. Can't wait to see them in your finished room!
ReplyDeletevery nice!
ReplyDeleteLove the silhouettes ~ love the bit of black ~ love the sophistication black lends to a room. Black looks fantastic with blue and adds that certain something that I just know the room will be overflowing with once you work your magic. I don't know your overall plan, but would it work to repeat the black by painting that dresser you spoke of black? The strong simplicity of black is also a great backdrop for toile. Whatever you do, I am certain it will be fabulous. I cannot wait for the reveal!!!
ReplyDeleteNot corny at all. Can't wait to see them in the room now!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the whole room. You have such a flair...love the banner picture.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are not corny and I can just imagin how well they will go with the toile! I'll keep slipping in to see your progress. It sounds like you know the look you want and it'll all come together lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter..
have a blessed day
