Artsy Fartsy



Here is what I do when I should be cleaning my house. I take some of my photos and play around with Photoshop until I get something approximating art.






Or maybe not.





Anyway, I really should be cleaning.

    I like your art. It's more fun than cleaning! I do the same thing: play with the computer/camera when I should be working. It's not a bad thing!

    I would love to have that software. Everyone seems to have such fun with it. You photo art is wonderful! I may just wait for a warm breeze before my Spring Cleaning :-) Rosie

    Thanks for letting me feel a trifle less guilty for playing with photos on the computer instead of cleaning...I can say, in a pouty voice "But that's what Mary does!"

    Your photo art is lovely..b/w photos with a subtle shot of color have a great look. I must give that a try.

    I would much rather play with art than clean....that is why my house is always a little (lot) dusty :).

    I love the second one - is it Echinacea? Don't you just love Photoshop? Confessions of a Pioneer Woman has some great tips on tweaking your photos with it. You might want to check her out.

    Sometime soon ( hopefully) we will be able to open our windows and let the dust blow out. That's my idea of spring cleaning :)

    I've been playing instead of "doing" too. I've even played with Photoshop, but haven't achieved anything as lovely as your photos!

    I hate to clean -- it's more fun to play on the computer -- lol!

    I usually wait till Friday and clean for the weekend as that is the only time I have company over anyway.

    Mary, I do this all the time. Sometimes on Saturdays (my cleaning morning) I'm playing on the computer in Photoshop rather than cleaning and I jump up when I hear my husband come in the door for more coffee. It's not that he'd get mad (or that I would care) but rather the fact that I've been doing it for an hour, since he left!

    I agree - forget the cleaning! But I would love to know how you "play" with your Photoshop! I have it, but don't know how to really use it! Do you ever think of making a tutorial???

    Oh I know just what you mean Mary! I have tons of artsy fartsy Photoshop pictures over here and yours are looking way more artsy than mine....although I did have tons of giggles warping my own face....(did I type that outloud?)
