Table Manners

OK, so we all try to teach our kids table manners.

Don't play with your food.

Sit up straight.

Don't talk with your mouth full.

And of course, the cardinal rule if you are the parent of teenagers -- no cellphones at the table. Sorry, I just couldn't come up with an illustration for that one. :)

Has anyone else been having trouble with Blogger? Loading pictures has been a crapshoot, and last night I couldn't even get the New Post window to come up. Aaargh! Aahh well, it's almost the weekend. Happy Thursday, dear bloggers!

  1. Ahhh, your bird pictures are just too cute! You are doing such a marvelous job with that new camera.
Yep, Blogger is being a booger-bear right now. My uploading of pictures is taking FOREVER...sometimes, I just have to get off it for awhile. Guess there's just so much traffic, it makes Blogger bog down...
    Happy day,
    bj

  4. Our birds don't have very good table manners either. But, they sure love when we share our goodies with them.

  6. Crapshoot indeed as far as blogger goes! I've been having trouble on and off since Saturday...and sometimes seems to be related to Photoshop pics.

  8. Good Morning Mary!

This is a great post! My biggest issue with a 2 year old is - "PLEASE just try a bite! Just one bite!" She's such a picky girl now!

And yes - I'm having problems too. I thought it was just me!

  9. More wonderful pics for a morning chuckle to go with my coffee! Love them.

Oh yes, troubles with blogger...all the more why I want to switch to Typepad. I cannot add new blogs to my link list on the sidebar. I cannot scroll down on "Customize" - it will only allow me to go down about a quarter of the way. Grrrrrr....
I found with uploading pics, you have to do one or two at a time sometimes. The only thing is, you have to do the pics reverse of how you want them to appear on your post...start with the end and go to the beginning pics.

  11. Hi Mary!
Table manners have changed slightly over past few years.. for us it's "no Ipods" at the table! :) when I was little it was "no books". Now, I'd love it if my son brought a book to the table and read while he ate!! :)

Blogger has been giving me troubles too.. I can't upload large images, I have to set them to medium and it only works half the time...

    Ah well.. technology!
    Have a fabulous day!
    :)Abbie

  13. I just love these photos of the little birdies and your delightful comments about them. I do sympathize you not being able to get a photo of a bird with a mobile phone... a tough call, that one... *smiling*

  18. Sister, you're preachin' to the choir about the no cell phones at the table rule. We had a family meeting about that very thing just a few weeks back.
    Loved the pics.

  20. I read your last blog, the one "I love white", and can't help but notice what I think is your red-printed wallpaper. I too have red wallpaper and it's in my living room. I will take a picture of it and post it on my blog soon. Alos, I love yor white milk glass and plate. :)
